ps. @ 2:53 seconds super fast sic dierreaha guitar playn!!!
My roommate in college bought this album based on the instrumentation listed on the cover. He played the first 30 seconds of the first track and immediately left to go buy the other two albums...
one of my fav songs ever!!! my dad used to plays this when i was a kid....i have played jazz guitar for almost 20 yrs now. i like to thank band like this for helping w/ my sense of music...these cats are part of my roots as a musican...thank u rosharris u the sht!!!
Of the albums they've played "Ships in the Night" on the VAULT was a 1976 compilation album from the UK (forgot the name of it) and the other was from progressive rock box set "Best Prog Rock Album in the World Ever" which IMO is a great prog rock box set.
WTF! You gotta be kidding me!? I requested some HTM on that channel. Nothing. Was it on the program called Progressions? Had Death's Crown once. Sold it cause of the poor sound quality. Also had the Muse Awakens. Sold that one, too. Get this CD from Amazon more than a year ago. It's awesome! Fav track is Knee Bitten Nymphs in Limbo
I am not kidding you at all, they do play it on Progressions, I always look forward to listening to Progressions on SIRIUS 16 The VAULT, they sometimes play it outside the Progressions hour
They did merge and Deep Tracks does have a program for prog rock called "For Headphones Only" which unfortunately I don't like it as much as "Progressions" cause they don't play as much uptempo tunes like "Progressions" did and I also like Bob Kranes better than the host for "For Headphones Only", I do feel that "For Headphones Only" is more true to prog rock than "Progressions" cause "Progressions" did play alot of poppy progressive rock tunes.
Ah. Guess I'm missing out? More true to prog rock, you say? Does that mean no more Be Bop Deluxe? I know of other examples, but I can't think of them right now
Fortunately they do play some Be Bop Deluxe on Deep Tracks, on The VAULT they only played one Be Bop Deluxe tune which almost reminded me of a Todd Rundgren tune.

One of my all time favorite prog songs, I've first discovered this song on SIRIUS 16's The Vault which plays deeper classic rock

Well, when I would listen to Progressions, they would play the same ol' shit. I don't have sat radio anymore

I've heard this song just the other night on Progressions, it sure is a great song.

Damn you, Bob! Playing excellent stuff AFTER I cancel Sirius

Unfortunately the VAULT is no more, it is now replaced with "Deep Tracks"
Doobie1975 3 years ago
Yeah. Didn't Sirius and XM merge? Do they still have program for prog rock?

Be Bop Deluxe really aren't prog, but they're still good. BTW, was the song Ships in the Night?
JIF882 3 years ago
It was "Ships in the Night", I noticed they claimed the song was featured on two albums according to the VAULT
Doobie1975 3 years ago
One studio, one live, perhaps? I have Sunburst Finish, the studio album that features that song. Check it out, it's excellent!!
