  • Super Cool. Gruß von futurabike.de

  • @FF13Snow You can get them at Lowe's. The Home Depot may have them. Just go to the "lamp and lighting section.

  • why why could they not be toghetter why

  • That was really amazing! How long did that take you?

  • awesome, how long did it take?

  • Great video.

I made one about lamps too, we must have similiarly strange minds...

    But don't watch it.

  • Everyone knows lamps are only inanimate when we look at them.

  • subscribe

  • subcribe

  • wow that was great! what kind of camera were you using?

  • very cool vid

  • Wow !! Awesomely smooth!

  • It's nice! Funny animation. I enjoy it. Thanks!

  • love that lamp. where did you get it?

  • Cool

  • it's a grim reality that two lamps can't fall in love!

  • how many pics did you need ;)

  • very cool

  • that was awesome, I know you heard of that 100 times already but you are!

  • Not a bad job at all. Keep it up!!

  • Hey did you get your armature from a kit?

  • Really nice work! Fun to watch!

  • awesome. i like the extreme close ups annd how you combined real and animated film 8 )

  • sweet vid.

one problem why did he have to fall in love

why didnt he just fight it

you should make an alternate ending

  • Well, I thought it would be interesting to have two different types of lamps fall in love with one another.

  • you rock, your so good you should be a pro

  • that is awesome! great job!

  • awesome! check out my video with 2 robots exactly like your first one. it's not as good or as long, but it's neat. if you like it, SUBSCRIBE!

  • sorry where can i get that armature??

  • You can get them at Home Depot or Lowes in the lamp department.

  • 4:09 cool cam..

  • that was soo cool

  • Now imagine this: you come back into a room after a couple hours, only to find your milk carton lying dead on the desk with apencil in its chest, Yoda is lying unconscious(oh no, not Yoda!) and the two lamps in the room are in the middle of making out. Now that's a Kodak moment.

  • He is cute, I loved the part where he tried to wave at Yoda.......poor guy.....

  • Oh Noes, Mutant Lamps! Run for the hillz! Wow, I like your stopmotion movie! A few months? Well, I would've expected something like that from a great Stopmotion Movie! You must really be talented!

  • o wow. I had an idea like this before I saw it.

    GREAT JOB AT STOPMTION

  • almost cried LOL

  • couple months? long time that is

  • That was a good story. I enjoyed it.

  • T_T

  • WOW

    that is insanely smooth

    great job

  • this is the greatest thing i have ever seen in my life :D

  • Wow, that's so brillantly done! o_O

You're a great talent, did you ever think about sending that movie to Aardman? Maybe they need a good animator for a coming project?

In some moments your film made me think of "WALL-E" ;-) - it's impressive how much emotion you can show just by showing a lamp from different positions and angles.

Very well done, go on with that amazing works.

  • baha,

    i have a mac mini too :)

  • Cool animation

  • look at 3:14-3:15, a pen appears (highlighter)

  • its there before it just moves give it a break though i thought it was very good.

  • This is great! Your stop motion is wonderful! What is the name of the song playing? It's really cool.

  • The titles for the music are in the end credits. The "love theme" is a piece of music called Nostalgia. The Robotic theme is called Cogitating Mechanoids.

  • Very cool,I love how they touch each other,so romantic

  • That things alive! Hey great video!

  • congratulations!!!!

  • Amazing!!! great job.

See my stopmotion video, its about a wooden man who dance.

  • Do you no wer i can get my hands on some latex rubber Models! I rely need some, i am think about doing an animation over the summer season! Please Reply back dude.

P.S Your videos r absolutely tops :) Great Job

  • If you've never done stop motion before, you might want to start by making your own puppets out of clay and wire first. Foam latex models are rather difficult to build and/or expensive. You really should start by experimenting on you're own first to see if it's something you're really interested in.

  • what did u use to make it ? a video camera? or what

  • lol how sweet

  • I'm glad you liked it. Thanks for the feedback!

  • THAT LAMP IS SICK LOLZ

  • that was soo cool

  • how long did it tack u to do all that ans where can i get that lamp dude?

  • You should be able to find the lamp at any home store like Home Depot, Lowes, etc. Got to the lighting/ lamp section. You should find one there.

  • nice i love it!!!

    keep it up!

if you like stopmotion, look to my stopmotion movies and give tips!

  • amazing

  • ... if only that could happen...

  • I liked it but i wanna make one but i don't know how to put it on you tube it wont let me

  • I love it!

  • Hi. Where can u buy that Stop-motion Figure? I wanna make a stop motion film with something that I can get real movement like you got. Thanks

  • Go to any hardware store: Lowes, Home Depot, etc. Go to the lamp/ lighting department.

  • wow this was better than expected. wish i could build something like that

  • cool lamp, where did you get it from?

  • Go to any hardware store: Lowes, Home Depot, etc. Go to the lamp/ lighting department.

  • thanks

  • i realy like this film and i would like to do my own stop motion but there are so many different programs i can use, (preferable free lol) could you plz suggest some good ones or wat you made this movie on thanx again :)

  • Humm... Looking for only free stuff? If you don't have enough passion for stop motion to spend a little money, I suggest you not do it. But, if you must, I use iStopmotion.

  • humans don't 'suck', we created them. lol

  • When the lamp looks into the mirror, there is an animated zoom. You can actually see the camera in the mirror in this shot!! Unintentional, but mistakes happen and that's what I get for working with mirrors.

  • No, I like the opinions of other animators, but I'm not sure what you mean. When does the camera move?

  • wow!...Magic! nice man! congratulations!

  • lol funny..

  • thats just awesome...

  • very bad theee music track.beter you take real sound of story, please

  • Nothing that your wrote makes any sense. If you're going to try and communicate, make sure you have a message others can understand.

  • sorry, I don't like your choice of soundtrack. it is too much of pathetic. my advise is - you make real sound of activity/love lamps stop motion movie/ and it will take bigger effect. believe me.

  • Oh, I understand. You think I should have added sound effects rather than just a music overature. That's fair critizism.

  • Great!!! Go mac mini!

  • You did a great job!

  • This is fantastic.. and very emotional...

    Well done. :)

  • Haha, this was cute and sad.

    But I loved it!

  • amazing! but poor lamps =(

  • Very nice, I wonder how long did it take to finish?

  • This one took less time than Dino Dreams and Reindeer Games. This one took roughly 2 months.

  • was that really a lamp or was that armature?

If it's a lamp where can I get one?

Also very nice animation. I don't favorite meteocre videos, and I'm favoriting this.

  • i was wourding how you did that because that was amazing

  • It's simple stop motion animation using a simple, exposed ball and socket armature.

  • love the ice melting!

  • awesome...

  • Good video

  • cute and funny. but that lamp killed yoda!!! O_O he must be killed.

  • It was good but to long and not a very good setting. Why put a green screen if your not going to really use it? overall great for a first try.

  • The green screen was going to be used initially, but then things changed. I used that same green screen for other shorts (Dino Dreams and Reindeer Games). That same green screen is being used again for Roboticus, yet another stop motion short I'm working on.

  • amazing!

  • Very good!!!

me to i do stop motion video...

But your vidéo is very good...

  • brilliant

  • ummmm.....yea its ok

  • thats not true i like the music

  • damn thats some bad music

  • it's great!!!And sad-love always hurts even if u are a lamp-robot...

  • can you check out my animations and tell me what you think? they're only my first trys!

    thanks! :)

    (awesome vid...)

  • Wonderful animation. Did you use a webcam? What programs do you use for your stop motion, and how long have you been doing this. Very impressive!

  • No webcam. Yuck. I use an old Sony PD-150 and the frame capture software I use is iStopmotion. This was my first attempt at stop motion. After this one, I made Reindeer Games and Dino Dreams.

  • wow, coold lamp dude!, did you buy it or did u make it? (if you bought it where did you buy it?)

  • This is very good!

  • awesome i have that same lamp. lol cool

  • cute but kinda sad.

  • How did you do the "spark goes down the wire" part. At first, I thought you gradually moved a piece of tape, but now I'm not so sure.

  • It's an animated effect. The "spark" is supposed to "bring life" to the lamp. The effect is a simple rotoscope animation.

  • i hate that robot.

  • you should never use natural light, unless its very short.

  • This room had a window right in front of the camera. Not the best choice of shooting locations, but I did what I could to minimize the back light. And yes, there are times when the outside light levels fluctuate.

  • BIG MISTAKE!!

You can see the camera in the mirror

  • Yeah. In order to shoot this short, it became necessary to bring in a mirror so that the full sized lamp could be seen interacting with the armatured lamp. The room this was shot is very small and required some creative methods to get better angles. So, there was a shot were the camera appears very quickly.

  • What have you ever done?

  • do u use istopmotion

and can u onli get it on mac

and how much is it,, im inspired by your work,, but i use newplast clay comment back

  • Yes, you can get it on a Mac. I believe it'll cost you 40.

  • Really really good, that lamp had personality!

  • that's cool

  • I find this movie strangely touching...

  • yeah this is quality. when the light armature discovers the other light he begins posing which reminds me of a scene from love and death. a film in which woody allen does something similiar. it's great.

  • that was awesome.

  • Realmente un video bueno. Me gustó la animación, Mr. Lamp casi transmite sentimientos, es muy bueno.

Buen trabajo. Siga haciendo cosas buenas.

  • muchas gracias

  • Hi, sorry if this is considered spamming, but I really need some more people watching my own pieces of animation. Can someone please view some pieces, comment or rate some, and tell me what you think? I would really appreciate it. Awesome video, keep it up.

  • great movie :)

  • Yoda! love a lamp u must.

  • Awsome video, that is excelent. What software did you use though?

  • iStopmotion

  • this is asome!!!

the best amateur animation i have ever see

  • If you found this to be amusing stop motion animation, see Reindeer Games or Dino Dreams. These are sure to please you if you liked Love Lamps.

  • i love it how do you do this stuff

  • Brilliant work man !

  • this was really creative, thats what film-making is all about, creating some, bring it to life! great job, i bet i took a while to make this!

  • Yes this took some animation time. There are around 10,000 stop motion shots.

  • liked your work.

  • Thank you! If you like stop motion, check out Dino Dreams and Reindeer Games.

  • thats is awesome, what program did you use?

  • istopmotion and FXhome products.

  • Man that is immense, considering it took almost 8 minutes

  • good but long and... WHAT WAS THE POINT?

  • Well, initially, Love Lamps was nothing more than a stop motion experiment to see if I could takle my dream project, Dino Dreams. See Dino Dreams for more extreme stop motion animation. I decided to create a story about a lamp that comes to life, but has a destructive nature (like people). Then, the lamp falls in love. It is love that makes life worth living. The lamp becomes peaceful.

  • cool... but its a bit too slow

  • see y dont ppl in hollywood come up with these ideas

  • though, i didn't watch the whole clip, but i can say that it's quite interesting...

  • i love it. this is your first time? wow! how many pictures was it?

  • This was shot on interlaced video, not digital pictures. I use software that frame captures off a video camera. Not including live action, there are about 10,000 stills that make up the stop motion. See Din Dreams and Reindeer Games for more stop motion.

  • Aw! That's so sweet!

No, seriously, the stop-animation is very good and not choppy at all. Personally, I think at the end you could've yelled, "What the hell!" or something when you saw the lamps, just to make it end kinda funny-ly (?). But still, WAY 2 GO!

  • How do you add in things like those floating Hearts?

  • It's a hand drawn graphic, then glow is added, then the graphic is animated to appear floating. It's kinda like a lightsaber.

  • Very smooth, nice story.

  • That was coooool! Stop motion animation is a favorite thing of mine to watch!

But that sure was long...musta been awful time consuming! x.x

Keep up teh good work please!

  • Oh, yea. And I love the little person shaped lamp. Seen 'em at Wal Mart before. :P

Been tempted to buy one, be a great "wooden doll" for drawing purposes...and it would hold my pencil.

'Cept now I'm afraid it might try to smooch my drawing desk lamp. XD XD

  • If you like watching stop motion, watch Reindeer games and Dino Dreams on my channel.

  • 5/5

  • Much of the stop motion that I have seen on YouTube so far has been has been fairly choppy and not smooth at all. But this is very well done. I can tell you've taken the time to think out an actual story ark and the music choices are good to. Keep up the great work!

    Long live Ray!

  • See Dino Dreams and or Reindeer games for more stop motion action you might find amusing

  • Great.

    Well done!

  • lol really good--must be a lot of work

  • ı love this movies

  • i hate it when my lamp does that... nice vid

  • bloody hell that was smooth INCREADIBLE one of the best on you tube

  • i love lamp

  • normally, I dont have great pacience fro longer videos but this was GREAT!!

  • Thanks! If you liked this, check out Dino Dreams or Reindeer Games.

  • Very very nice. I want a lamp like that. Hopefully with feelings too :P

  • I need a similar lamp. Where is possible buy this?

  • En los Estados Unidos, puedes enconta a Lowe's o Home Depot. In the United States, you can find them at Lowes or Home Depot. It's called Robot Lamp.

  • Muchisimas gracias. Soy Argentino y estoy preparando una animación.

  • Excellante! Me gustaria mirar una animacion cuando terminaste.
