  • thats like what happend to me 2 days ago i was riding my horse max heading towards a jump and there was pigs in front of it and he jumped and then did what your horse did and galloped back to the barn.

  • falling off a Horse happens in less than 2 seconds, it throws you off guard literally..your automatic instinct is too grab and clench something as you fall..but it happens so fast.

  • This is kinda what happened to me yesterday ;)

My tailbone really hurts now -.-

  • did he spook at the lady w/ the pizza boxes

  • Ahh! hope youre ok!!! plz could i use this clip? i will give u credit!

  • thats always how i fall off.

  • You looked very stiff in your position.. And very stiff in your hand position as well, at 0:14 & 0:18

when your horse pulled you kind of made you off balance ( My horse does the same thing)..... But I am sure you got back on and went on your way :).... Like we all have to, very pretty horse...

  • Thats why I REALLY dont like riding in collisiums there is sooo much stuff going on under that roof most horses are freaked being in there lol prefer the outdoor arenas or the covered arenas lol

  • gorgeous horse! :D

  • your were very young i think ?

and when you were galopping you were almost standing the whole time. so sit back than you might stay on the horse

don't take this as bad critique just my reactions

  • @coolvanessa23 Not trying to be rude..but im taking it ur a western rider or you dont ride. But anyways shes in a hunter class im guessing and they were cantering. And she was supposed to be in her 2 point like that. Sorry if you take this as rude im just letting you know she did nothing wrong(:

  • I wonder what he got scared of..

  • @HorseLover13251 if u look at the slow mo it is a lady carrying a plate of something, she was walking by the wall next to the arena

  • Dont critique, She knows what she did wrong. And she doesnt want any harsh comments.

  • thats what u get for riding english

  • @bilboTbaggins1000 tht could happen western too

  • @bilboTbaggins1000 dude shut it.

  • really good, when u look it over in slow motion u can see the movement of her lead ready to cross but if u were riding it would be tricky sooooo, good job, but i get holding on to the rains, u tried to stay on, we all make mistakes

  • Yea sorry thats what happens when you 1. have no seat. 2. almost fall off when the horse sneezes and pulls the reins

  • BUT DONT HOLD ON TO THE REINS! YOU CAN GET DRAGGED!!

  • @hottiemorganhorse Sorry not exactly what i was thinking about when i fell off!

  • @HorseJumper666 I hate when people are like you shouldn't do that when you fall off! I'm like... WELL SORRY I WAS JUST FALLING OFF MY CANTERING HORSE! I CAN'T REALLY THINK!

  • @hottiemorganhorse Actually holding onto the reins can be a smart thing, my foot got stuck in the stirrup once and having the reins in my hand is what saved me from a lot of hurt cause my horse had every intention on running but having the reins let me stop him, the way she had them and fell made it so she could let go so she most likely would not have been dragged long if dragged at all, since most horses feel a pull on their mouth and they stop, if trained right.

  • @hottiemorganhorse It can be hard to remember that when you fall off!

  • on and september 2011 wasnt a year ago...

  • @hottiemorganhorse maybe she took the video a long time ago.. derp

  • @Projectisphere I did. It was from over a year go. :)

  • @hottiemorganhorse it was january 2011 and i uploaded it in Septemeber.

  • um? I think the saddle was your problem, I had a crap courbette untill this year when my daddy got me a custom CWD. Its not you becasue you tried but it was probably a slick -non grippy saddle ( I had the same problem - IT SUCKED (the sitting trot was a nightmare!) but now im good!

  • aww that was so sweet

  • if you really fell off from THAT, go back to your area and learn to have a seat.

  • @monkeyz9952 hahaha, seriously i just LOLED at your comment! Thanks for making me live longer <33

  • Is there a horse in existence that doesn't freak the hell out and try to throw it's rider at every opportunity? A pizza box is cause for terror? REALLY?

  • this is not a critical comment plz dont hate me but i think it was cause u were leaning forward aswell as the whatever it was that spooked him/her

  • I did this today while jumping... My hip KILLS!!! xoxo

  • my 6 year old cousin could have stayed on that horse

  • not funny at all iv done that while my horse was sanding still lol it dident hurt tho!

  • you said it was funny but i didn't laugh ;)

    Hope your okay!

  • You know, you turn at corners. XD Lol. I've done that before, though. From the people in the background you and your horse look really nice. :)

  • 1 thing i think the rider gave the horse presaure

  • well that person in the back was caring something the horse was suposbly scared of and he spoked im just saying what happened!

  • @LilMissYummyWummy Haha, you don't sound like a rider. First, she did NOT dismount. Her horse freaked at the person walking by, hence why the horse swung around. She lost her balance and fell off. Don't comment on stuff you don't know about.

  • @chloecindy99 so true! x

  • oh the classic, horse turns you keep on forwards fall haha..

  • was this at the national equestrian center in lake st. louis??? i loveeeeeeee showing there!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @ilovearabianhorses1 Yup! :) me toooo! where do you ride??

  • @HorseJumper666 I ride at a farm in Farmington!

  • I'm a rider to and here's the mistakes I saw to help u. 1. Heals need to be down. 2. U need to squeeze. 2. Don't dismount because u feel like your gonna fall. I hope this helped if you're still struggling!

  • @LilMissYummyWummy her heals were down and she didnt dissmount when she fell, also no one can tell if she was sqweezing or not, LOL xD

  • @Ang243l Actually her heals werent down, but I agree she didn't dismount......

  • @LilMissYummyWummy how did she dismount? loads of people do that and and she was having her heals down only up when her feet where out the stirrups in the air...

  • hey you actually DID dismount...much more graceful then other falls ive seen!

  • My horse spooked the other day and I fell and landed on the fence that's round the outside of the arena! got lots of bruises :(

  • @xRidingxIsxLifexxx

Oh, i'm so sorry I am swedish? And just 12 years old? Just because you now I'm right you complain on my grammar?

  • That moment in riding when everything's ginger-peachy and then your horse spooks!

  • nice landing! I broke my collarbone doing the same thing you did. Of course I land completly retarded. Can't ever seem to land right...

  • haha i would of fallen too! its hard to stay on when that happens :)

  • horse: this is really fun

Person: keep cool, this only a horse show

    Horse:BOX!

    Person:[bye,, Bye]

  • he spooked at a box?

oh! we've all fallen like that. didnt look to painful

  • @battousaiblade easy for you to say when you're sitting behind a computer screen...

  • @chiefponygirl ok ok. no need to be like that. its happened to all of us who ride, even to me!

  • The same sound was at the show I was at and it spooked my horse!!!!

  • I fell like that once, not the nicest thing in the world x

  • Swing!!! Im a monkey!!

  • I'm sure you've learned this by now, and it has likely been commented below, but you were leaning too far forward on the horse. Sinking your weight down in the ankles will help you to lean back and shift your weight :)

  • @pixygypsy what she is doing is correct x she is doing cross country position canter , bassically you take the weight of of the horses back

  • Horse: OMG person RUN AWAY

  • als ze nu ook eens tegoei int zadel bleef zitte eh --'

  • GUYS, if you're going to take the time to write a nasty/unnecessary critique then at least take the time to look at her newer videos. She really has excelled quite far. Even here you can see that she had a strong enough leg to very nearly stay on (0:45). She likely made the decision (whether consciously or not) to fall; it wasn't like she "flew off". Even if she had, so what? If you're experienced enough to be "trainer-level" then you should be able to evaluate ALL aspects of a rider's ability.

  • @MeninaLivre As in, not look at a minute-long video of them riding and suddenly know everything about their talents. You are NOT her trainer, you DON'T know her horse, and you DON'T know her. At any rate even if you are so talented then why take the time to be negative? Do you think a world-renowned novelist would belittle a high-school hopeful? Only if they are a truly small and sad individual. Sorry for writing so much; it just gets on my nerves to see people being unnecessarily mean :-)

  • UH,She posts videos for FUN and so SHE can critique herself. Are u all saying you've never fallen off your horse? If you are, then it is either a lie,or you don't even ride,in which case you have no business commenting anyway. You are criticizing her on this ONE video saying she is a bad rider. You obviously have no lives other than criticizing young girls you don't even know,&unlike you,she can admit to her mistakes and DOESN'T crush the feelings of innocent girls to satisfy her creepy little mind(:

  • umm... i don't see how this is funny or painful. That horse barely even spooked, just a little turn...

  • @catswithwigs lol how can you tell me it wasn't painful when you weren't the one who fell..? & i thought it was funny (:

  • @HorseJumper666 Well I have fallen off many times before, and way worse than that. Its definitely not funny.

  • @catswithwigs then stop commenting...i'm pretty sure we have all seen you say that at least 3 times.

  • @HorseJumper666 Its not funny.

  • @catswithwigs why are you bitching

  • @Jaimeeehasiuk Im not... Im just stating the obvious. If you even ride you would know this isn't that bad of a fall and its not funny.

  • @catswithwigs LOL

  • Where were you showing? The facility looks slightly familiar. Oh and my name is Hannah too :-) And you were a little unstable in your seat, sure but so what? I'm sure you've developed into a great rider. Even in this short video it's evident that you have a great foundation for excellent equitation. I'll bet you're a killer now!

  • @MeninaLivre aw thank you SO much..that means a lot <3 & it was at the NEC in Lake St louis! :)

  • @HorseJumper666 I thought so! We used to do the winter circuit there before we started going down to Ocala! And no problem, just telling the truth :-) FYI, a lot of the people critiquing may very well be horse-crazy kids who lesson once a week. A true equestrian would be able to see that this was a learning experience that happened long ago. I could critique Lillie Keenan's microscopic faults all I want but that doesn't mean I could top the Bates Eq list! Typing/saying isn't doing!

  • @MeninaLivre ahh I totally agree with you! I can only wish to ride like Lillie someday :D & thank you(: so you showed at queenie right? :)

  • @HorseJumper666 good! you don’t need these critcis, you did well to try and stay on and it wasn’t your fault, you horse probably just spooked at something! and it was a while ago so don’t let these people ruin your riding! :)

  • ouch! hope you were alright after. those can be hard to stay on especially when you are out of the saddle!

  • Ok, people who are mean, WHO CARES!? EVERYONE FALLS OFF SOMETIME! And the person who said people have no life read the description, well really people who have no life say rude things to make others feel bad! I think this person is a good rider but they just had a minor mallfunction! I have fallen off before, and someone who posted a nasty comment has to! So if u r gonna be mean, dont say anything at all! YOU ARE A GOOD RIDER EVEN WHEN U FALL!!!!

  • maybe if you would have gotten out of the horse's mouth that wouldn't have happened.

  • @countrybabe561 haha seeing as you ride western HOW would you know how my horse goes. how much contact she needs, what kind of seat she needs, what kind of class it was. No you don't know any of these so therefore DO NOT critique me! & Yes i was not riding my best it was from over a year a go.. please just read the description. come on.

  • @HorseJumper666 I don't just ride western and don't be such a bitch. This was advice to help you not fall off anymore. Do not critique you? Just did. Only people with no life read the description, I have better things to do.

  • @countrybabe561 deleting your comment.

  • @HorseJumper666 good! coward!

  • @countrybabe561 I agree.

  • @catswithwigs You guys seriously need to stop. This was from a year ago..if you want to critique do it on my newer videos, it makes NO sense for you to be doing it on a video from over a year ago. But I actually have an amazing trainer to tell me what i'm doing wrong..not someone who doesn't even know me :)

  • @HorseJumper666 So your telling us to go on your newer videos to critique you?

  • @catswithwigs hahahaa I like this chick.... ;)

  • @catswithwigs No sorry I have a trainer to do that..thanks though! :)

  • @HorseJumper666 you tell her <3

  • ouch! Good eq. though!

  • @bigoldfatjuicebox Thank you! (:

  • das ist nicht wirklich ein guter sitz! und wenn ein pony mal zur seite springt..z.B. im gelende dann bist du SOFORT unten und dein pony sehr wahrscheinlich weg!

  • @Jodie9892 Gasp! You must be an amazing rider! Thank you for posting it on here for all of us youtubers to see, even though it has absolutely nothing to do with this video. I'd better send my horses to you for training.

Oh, and that was sarcasm, just so you know.

  • Thumbs up for the guy at the beginning. "Go hannah..."

  • every one saying not a very good seat . that was accully amazing ive seen people with worse seats and i know how a "little turn " can tip u a little off blance . i have a broken ankle from a "little turn "

  • Not a very good seat!

  • @meggandruby Thanks :)

  • can i use this video for a project :') x

  • i would say a classic one...every rider has been fallen like this

  • @jetsat100 me way more then once lol :D xx

  • Comment removed

  • @axfbyjgbn ohh yes :)

  • @jetsat100 i've never fallen like that.... i've fallen tons of times but never cuz the horse refused or spooked but just sayin if u have a natrual english seat and ur horse sits down and lifts his head when he spooks, do not try to sit back and go all western.

  • @jetsat100 agree completely...

  • im 9 and i ride my stalions

  • damn. She's younger than I am and she's already riding better than me...

  • I love your eq!

  • @PrincessPinkPony Thank you! (:

  • I've done that, It hurts ;) you're a good rider anyway.

  • oww that ooked like that hurt D:... really cute pony by the way! :)

  • been there, done that, hurts, really bad, specially when it's winter and the ground isn't particularly soft. i think everyone does this a couple times. it's all a learning process.

  • Beine zu. Dann bleibt man bei sonem kleinem ''Unfall'' auch oben!

  • Was ist denn daran schmerzhaft? Da habe ich schon ganz anderes gesehen! Und wenn man sowas nicht abfangen kann, gehört man nicht auch ein Turnier....Das Pferd hat ja wirklich nichts schlimmes gemacht!!

  • Its pretty wierd that I have'nt fallen off before.....

  • sorry to say but for future refrence i would keep your nack bent a little bit more

  • TABLES ARE SCARY.

Nice seat, you are a great rider it can be hard to stick out a sharp and quick turn when it's unexpected. I hope you are okay.

  • woah tables hey!

  • ooh spooky! tehe... those are the best :)

  • canadians know how to ride!

  • Can't I see one video without crit? Can you hypocrit's READ? She doesn't want any crit, plus I'm guessing 99-100% of you don't even know her,If you we're her, you'd know what happened instead of 'assuming' by what a video shows, people have bad days.

  • You have very nice seat!

  • @Crazyful18 Thank you! :)

  • @HorseJumper666 No problem ;)

  • @HorseJumper666 im so sorry my two horses are not like that there stalions and im 9 and i jump

  • @Jodie9892 what are you talking about...?

  • @Crazyful18

Really? I am sorry but what about - shin, points, bending forward, etc. ? It was really predictable that you would fall off, there were not much stability. Sorry, my opinion.

  • @Krocketka What do you mean? I just said that she has a nice seat -,-"

    Grow up.

  • Happens to the best of us lol! The swing seems to make ithurt all the more :L

  • D: that looked sore!Can I use it for a project? :]

  • @TheEquineAddiction Definitely! (:

  • Hahaha!! it was the pizza box or whatever that lady was carrying. my horse would have freaked. haha

  • she isnt riding very well, i mean i am not surprised she fell :/

  • Wernt a bad spook x

  • yeah i can see how you fell off, the spook was so abrupt and out of the blue!

  • I hate this.... your just going along fine and then WHAM! your on the ground

  • very cute horse :) i HATE when this happens... all it takes is someone walking by the ring for a horse to spook, like the girl u see here walking by, im guessing that's what he spooked at. my mare does that a lot ;)

  • @fluteyhorse she was also carrying something,

  • LISTEN LISTEN UP

From the beginning the rider didn't had contact to the horse at all. She didn't had contact, and that's probably because she has bad balance. She feels unbalanced and it looks really scary, she would really need some balance and contact lessons. Sure, comment and say i'm stupid but this looks really unbalanced and out of contact.

  • @BlahTok I agree with you, I definitely am not a perfect rider..who is? Surely not you. Also this was from a LONG time ago. Look at my other videos. Critiquing me on this video is of no help to me because I ride differently now then I did a year ago. IF you would of read the description I stated just that, so please read descriptions BEFORE you comment.

  • @BlahTok LISTEN LISTEN UP

Please use proper grammar when commenting on a video, please and thank you. You said the same thing about ten different times. Also, it's "She didn't have contact".

Honestly, I think this fall could have happened to anyone, i think he was pushing you out of the saddle a bit much, but some horses have a more powerful canter, it took me forever to figure out how to sit my horse's canter, sorry about the fall!

  • @xRidingxIsxLifexxx LOVE this haha!

  • @CrewOfFirefly A "little spin to the left" can be hard to stick out, especially when the horse is being up and you're not expecting it. Oh, and you know what else is sad?? You.

  • @chiefponygirl I LOVE YOU MORIAH <3333

  • It looked like you lost your seat a little bit a few strides before the spook, so you simply weren't prepared for the spook, and lost your balance. It happens to everyone more than once!

  • First of all it's not called the "standing" canter, it's called a half seat canter. Yes, this is obviously a hunter under saddle class and NOT an equitation class. The rider had a wonderful, light seat allowing her horse to freely move beneath her, and maintained a pretty steady contact. It is obvious that the horse spooked at the women carrying the large object in her arms, however the spook happened so quick that the rider was unable to counter act the spook fast enough.

  • ..The rider did NOTHING wrong. It is ridiculous that people are critiquing her on how to ride her own horse. Yes, perhaps she could have asked the horse for a slight shoulder in when his ears pricked and when he focused on the woman, however like I stated previously, the spook came pretty quick. Those who stated that the fall was "stupid" obviously don't ride much. A sideways spook as such can be fairly jerky, especially when you least expect it. Personally I think this girl is a lovely rider.

  • her horse swurved and this happens to me all the time with my current loan pony shes in her winter mood, and i fell of like 5 times while she did this shes moved onto bucking now but lol, but im sitting better at this, and this doesnt even hurt falling like this! trust. and it doesnt matter how long youve been riding, you get expierience from day to day riding.

  • The funny thing is, when all you "horse" people learn from other videos on YouTube you don't get the concept of HUNTER and EQUITATION and UNDER SADDLE and PLEASURE. i've been ridding for 10 years. It was obvious this was a hunter class because the horse was collected, and she was perched. In hunter you don't sit all the way down. You stat PERCHED. Its based on YOU and your HORSE. in EQUITATION, you sit. It's based on how YOU are. In UNDER SADDLE, you could be in half seat and win simply becaus

  • i did the same fall, but i wrapped myself around my pony's neck then fell... falling is fun isnt it

  • mine would have done exactly the same

  • Looks like your horse spooked at the lady carrying something just outside of the arena. lol my horse probly would have done the same thing =] silly horses

  • She ovbiously didnt expect a spook. She was sitting nicely in a canter and her horse spooked! It happens to every rider. Don't go saying she should have stayed on. Anyone who didnt expect that wouldv'e fallen. Get a life people . . .

  • i dont think it was that stupid, she was in on up sitting canter intentionally, the horse spooked, she lost her balance, - as anyone would, the horse turned...quite sharply and quickly and she fell, i think you others should get out of your own arses and grow up.

  • @superbono145 Thank you <3 means a lot! It was a mistake, I probably should of stayed on, but i wasn't expecting it at all hahaha(:

  • this is soooo stupid, that horse didn't anything and she fall af

  • @1990bogie- hahaha what r u trying to say?

  • @1990bogie Gwaf, if its so stupid, why did you take 30 seconds to comment on it saying its so stupid? Hmmm...

  • @1990bogie if your smart enough to call it stupid.. then why did you say "that horse didnt anything"? and dont say that because more than likely, you couldnt have done any better, let alone stay on. and horsejumper666, you are a great rider, great equitation! dont listen to them <3

  • @95jumpergirl aw thank you SO much!! It really means a lot :))

  • Comment removed

  • @alyxg223 wow, PLEASE upload a video of you riding..at 3ft and above then i will actually take your comment into consideration. Every rider makes mistakes, this was a very bad weekend for me, This was my 2nd fall and my horse had to get surgery after this, so stop being rude and hiding behind a screen. Also by "Most People" who are you talking about? A lot of people couldn't ride a spoke, I made a mistake and I learnt from it. I said no critique for a reason.
