What benefits others in speaking the truth does not mean simply telling them what you see.....What benefits others and is useful in building them up is speaking the Truth....meaning the Word of God to them. That.....is what is loving. That is wholesome. Paul spoke harshly many times to the churches.......but not out of simple anger or impatience. He spoke out of love for them.
Not that you were trying to point out anything of the sort...........but hopefully those that are watching this do not think Christianity is defined by soft spoken people who only tell you nice things to build your spirit. Men of God are fearless, and yet full of love. They do not shirk in speaking the Truth plainly, knowing that some may be hurt by it........initially.
Speak the TRUTH to one another in love says the Lord. That means, speak the unequivical Word of God to one another, in the understanding that His Word does its work on us, without returning to Him empty. Isaiah 55. Also, that the Word is living and active.....and like a double edged sword....dividing soul and spirit, bone and marrow.
Great job. I would like to add. In Matthew 23, the entire chapter, was Jesus speech wholesome or unwholesome? Wholesome of course. When Paul called Peter a hypocrite in Galatians 2, was his speech wholesome or unwholesome? Wholesome of course, and beneficial to building him up. I just want to point out that wholesome talk, and talk thats beneficial is from the Word.
I really appreciate this video thanks for doing this!! I have a really bad tongue! What you say in this video bulls eye all my problems with the tongue and some of with myself. I go through out the day cursing and laughing at the same time. I debate with people about music and cartoons!! But I rarely talk about God with others. But all the while I am aware of God and the bad things I do. And I tell myself "Lord forgive me" yet I still feel uninspired to change! But I WANT TO CHANGE!
awesome very helpful video

A great scripture for the man of God: Be on your guard; Be firm in the faith; be courageous; be strong. Do everything in love.
Truth........not tradition. ;)
Peace and love.
