If this helps you any, you should already be done doing the motion for the next Acid Rain by the time the balls form into the rain portion of the move. You can also try to do Acid Rain multiple times (without comboing the enemy) and see if that helps. You'll notice that Dante slowly backs away as you keep doing them, which is why you can't keep them up in the air forever with just Acid Rain.
I think I can get one more in after I relaunch on the seventh one. We'll see in the future.
Your best bet is to make sure Dante is directly underneath them as much as possible. Prop Shredder already moves you towards the enemy, so be sure that when you do it, you won't come close to touching the opponent.
@csquarednc do you make the input for the acid rain whil doing the shredder? i cant make it on time, usually i make the shredder and he stays staggered a few seconds before i can start the acid rain, by then the opponent already recovered on air
