@jamiechang2011 Then you didn't really pay attention to the intense cameos and references throughout most of the second half of the game. They didn't come after each other directly, but they had tendrils of Chrono Trigger weaving inbetween the story of Chrono Cross.

I reall miss and love this game so much, It has beautiful music and a wonderful storyline. What I love most about it, is the fact that it was the first RPG I know of, to have like two diffrent worlds. Where in one world an certain person might be alive and well but in the next world they are dead or very diffrent from the first world. To me chrono cross will alway be my #1 Epic RPG with FF7 being the next.

It still stands though that older RPGs had thinner characters with less development, and plots that exploited various elements that either lack explanation, or need. Case in point, why is the empire in FFVI an empire? Are they united behind Captialism? Socialism? Doesn't really make sense, and no empire means no Kefka, so that's a huge hole right there.

...But for now I still find a problem when entering battle mode - it slows down extremely when the Nova-Like-Battle-Entering animation takes place...
