dude give the kid a break...it's not always like that. i myself am vietnamese...i regularly speak it, but consider it one of the ugliest sounding languages out there...only about 10% of the vietnamese speak it and make it sound beautiful...the rest? we sound so unsophisticated and unrefined...but again, that is how our culture is..we're not the most refined of people. i prefer the sound of korean, japanese, and chinese than vietnamese.

lol our language is nice. doesnt matter what asian it is, if they are speaking casually it will sound harsh and loud. Asian languages tend to sound agressive. Only reason you think krn or jap. sounds good if becuase on TV they speak politely. As for music they know how to mix and harmonize better than us thats why it sounds so good. But ive seen some chinese people compliment our songs so im pretty sure its not that bad.

Ugliness or prettiness of a language is subjective and opinionated. What I mean is that tan03202 and his friends "think" Vietnamese is ugly. This doesn't necessarily imply that the entire human race agree and tan03202 is entitled to his opinion. I think Vietnamese, when spoken in its true form, is exotic and pretty because it is a tonal language ----- and that's "my" opinion.
