Yeah, why is Thailand clearing land mine. Land mines were planted by the Khmer Rouge and Vietnamese during the Khmer Rouge period and during the Vietnamese invasion. Thailand would never allow land mines to be planted in its land. Thailand is encroaching on Cambodian land.

mines are terrible things.i was a us marine served in vietnam 2 yrs. i saw what they can do.i lost a good friend in front of me on one occasion.blown up like a ragdoll. however there is one unmentioned fact about the estimated 80 milion or so mines that are claimed to exist.many of them are anti-tank mines and they mormally can't be setoff by a human walking on them..it takes betwwen 5 and 7 hundred pounds of pressure to set them off.

Thailand has no mines hiding in Thailand territory because Thailand has no war.

Those mines are in the Cambodia territory when Cambodia had war. The Cambodia government CMAC and the Halo Trust have been working their asses to remove those mines. Thailand today is invading Cambodia that interrupting the CMAC and the Halo Trust work.
