I played one of these in a guitar shop. It plays pretty good, and sounds good, but it costs a $1200( CDN), which seems a little much to me for a guitar with just one pickup and a volume knob.

Then again I always go for the guitars around $500, so maybe I'm just cheap( Although it's worked out pretty well so far.)

I never understood why he's content with having only 4 strings on his guitar. He'd have so much more at his disposal with 6 strings. It's almost like he made a conscious decision to not grow and expand as a guitarist. Even though he's just a rhythm player, he could do so much more with those B and high E strings.

@DeathMetalTim32 There's a lot of good brands out there, but up until now I've stuck with Fender Precision basses, Yamaha BB-Series, Ernie Ball Stingray basses and the high end B.C. Rich stuff, I own an USA Ironbird bass.. Hoping to get a Warlock and a Mockingbird someday.

Actually, I've been checking out the LTD F-Series and the LTD TA-bass lately, I really like those, so I'm gradually changing my view on ESP/LTD!

Rhythm guitartists rarely use the high strings so he doesn't need them. He said in an interview that years ago, those strings broke and he didn't bother replacing them, and got used to playing without them.
