  • its no photoshop but still this has something photoshop is missing the versatility the simplicity makes it ideal for digital sketching

  • I need to get a sketchbook designer soon - this is just what an artist really need - truly amazing.

  • is this one better than 3ds maxx ?

  • @andyoaryoga ? 3d max is for 3d modeling this is for drawing mate

  • Drawing is awesome, but so is this ^_^

  • So you can actually draw vectors organically ?

  • Ultra coolio! Nice.

  • Man this ought to save me some time...

  • very creative!!!.. unlike the horrible "whole lotta love" ripoff lol

  • very creative!

  • real art?

with all due respect i dont believe whether there is a real or an unreal art. an art is an art.

this is modern art and some guys there are stck with traditional art.

artists are openminded. you will not know whats better until you try both.

    and another thing . . . . Innovation.

  • Dude those are pretty awesome ignore the douche below he's stupid and probably blind

  • Pretty cool but all those drawings are bad art and ugly.

  • and it's only $2 million dollars!

  • what computer is this !?!?!?!?!?

  • @BugAnimation maybe its a Wacom Cintiq.

  • i prefer the old fashioned method:

killing a wild boar and using it's blood to paint on the wall of a cave.

  • @Deadpool25mm @F22xSTEALTHx you didnt understand me.drawing on autodesk sketchbook or things like that is realy cool but drawing/painting on paper/canvas is much better. drawing on autodesk can help architects engineers etc but look, first sketch is on paper and that is the real art. It's hard to call art sketching on autodesk because everybody can make it ;)

sory for english. im still learning.

  • wow they make your circle perfect -.- what happen to drawing on paper in real life?

  • @XxGinoDxX drawing on paper is old fashioned for people who dont know what art mean

  • @ProjectRox man thats the stuipeds thing i've ever heard.. drawing on paper is Real art, im not saying that this isnt, but paper is realer.

  • @XxGinoDxX Such an uneducated thing to say

  • @poobertop wow.....so all the other great artists and architects and engineers of old aren't considered artists??? @ProjectRox

  • @XxGinoDxX yeah your right .

  • @XxGinoDxX This happened, that's what happened.

  • Is it vector based?

  • @MidniteDesign From the looks of it, yes.

  • lazy way to do art

  • @Eyedias This not for hobby artists. This is mainly for engineers and designers who already have the design done on paper, they just need to digitize it real quick.

  • @Eyedias Self-righteous hack-artist fails to see the future of production art. Just keep doing your thing bro, and let the professionals decide what's lazy and what's not.

  • crazy stuff! wish i had the time to learn :(

  • Dang, i think ill just stick to PRO

  • So it's like adobe illustrator but from autodesk?

  • Autodesk Sketchbook.... saving tree's one sketch at a time :)

  • @bigchad007 Don't you believe it. All methods of generating electricity have a massive impact on our environment I'm a afraid. Even capturing the energy from waves, wind and solar energy alters natures balance. But hell I love technology :)

  • how is this better than Illustrator?

  • love that music brother. Rock on

  • Make this app for android and support the pressure sensitive of the s-pen in galaxy note.

    Saludos de Mexico.

  • whats the pad thing called?

  • How the fuck do you turn off the annoying refresh / undo button after each stroke?

  • It's too bad I own Sketchbook Pro 2011 and I can't even draw a fucking line without looking like a wobbly piec of SHIT! >:O

  • When I look at the comments, I feel bad for actually owning one of these. :(

  • AHHH!!! ...name of song plzzz plzz!!!!`1

  • Look at what the technology can do to you. It can give you an arrow to the knee 8)

  • @Geekjoeioan fuck off you fucking nerd, take your fucking arrow bullshit somewhere else fuck ass

  • @xmagneticx It's not my fault you want to act like a douche bag.

  • @xmagneticx And also guess what, nerds do better than douches.

  • i was using one of those... then i took an arrow to the knee

  • Outstanding!!!

  • OMFG

  • Can anyone tell me where can io buy the software / hardware in Canada... thank you all for replying :)

  • @BADNCKT you can find everything you need on the iternet.u can buy the software from the autodesk website and the tablet from the wacom website

  • @samivanlim btw if u get it for tablet, android or ipad, i would recommend getting the Jot Pro Stylus (adonit.net) theese babies make everything alot easier...

  • "Wacom Cintique Sold Separately"

  • -starts video "I CAN DO THAT! -shows him drawing "damn"

  • amen

  • It takes serios capital to own equipment like this shit! One day.

  • @vry00 listen i like commenting... also the main objective of a preview was to show the main features. Personally I think it was achieved... wait there are only 8 dislikes?

  • @johnydee187 I have the intuos 4 so im thinking thats what it is. you'll love it! I recommend getting one asap.

  • What type of tablet is this?

  • @thevideomaker1997 Wacom Cintiq I think is what you are referring to

  • It says clearly on the description SketchbookPro

  • I'm not rating the video down but i rely dislike Sketchbook designer.

it's missing allot of features sketchbook pro has and slaps in a quick cheap vector editor.

    That's how it Feels anyways.

  • how do u curve the lines like at the start of the video? inbox me if u know ty peeps

  • i dont think ill ever be wasteing my time on this program, but it is pretty cool... maybe ill learn it when im 40 to further my graphics career

  • what program or programs are you using. im sick of mine and want something new to explore. im using manga studio now

  • @TheHBExperience wow never mind i figured it out! damn im not a tech nerd in the art world after all

  • what computer are you using?

  • nice vid can you do 3 d modeling as well? what software do u use??

  • Autodesk Rules!

  • You draw amazingly good.

  • Is this available for Windows users too?

  • @FourthEmpireStudios Yes. I'm using the student edition on Windows 7 Ultimate as I type this.

  • amazing drawings

    great work

    i like it

  • I want the software, the hardware and that guitar riff..... what is the name of the riff?

  • Cool a software that was actually designed for artists

  • I like the Idea behind the Sketchbook designer but the result is horrible . . . tooooo Digital!!

  • @hghmcse Yeah, it's not an art program. It's for people who design things, as implied by it's name. It's not meant to be a paint program, that's what Sketchbook is for.

  • I got the free mobile app Sunday and now I want the full version!

  • ANYONE KNOW WHERE TO FIND TRAINING FOR SKETCHBOOK DESIGNER 2012????? I can't find anything online and can't find anything on Autodesk website. Please help.

  • WHO ARE THOSE 2 ASSHOLES THAT CLICKED DISLIKE I AM GANNA FUCKING KILL THEM...

  • @Bitmavric *que russian accent* Vee vill see av-bout zat MWAAAAHAAAA!!!!

    xDxDxDxDxD

  • @advent1013 your gibberish doesn't impress me.

  • @advent1013 it's 7 now

  • @advent1013 Take em'.. but take em' quitely...

  • @advent1013 people click dislike just for shit.

    They probably liked it.

  • so sketchbook pro designer is a vector based?

  • it's any tablet mousepen can use for?

  • I want to buy sketchbook for doing designs. Is this some kind of special version of SB or is this included when buying sketchbook?

  • @plektrum93 this is Sketchbook desginer, which is much more expensive than Sketchbook pro.

  • Looks great, I love sketchbook pro, and can't wait to try it!

  • I know this is going to sound like a stupid question but is there a tool in this program like photoshops smudge tool? If so where can I find it since that is a tool I pretty much find to be necessary.

  • my only gripe with this program is that it crashes like hell. after looking around a bit, it turns out that designer does not like High res monitors, and tends to crash a lot. I really hope they get around to fixing or patching this problem, because it is indeed a very awesome program.

  • IM JEALOUS LOL

  • Which is better? Designer or Pro?

  • @socialjunsu Pro is used for like sketching and painting stuff. Basically, you can make comic book style stuff and what not. Designer on the other hand is more for line/vector art, kinda like adobe Illustrator. Both programs are pretty awesome, but there is no such thing as a better. It's the same as asking which is better? A fork or a spoon? There is no definite better or anything, it's more like what kind of tasks you are after.

  • dsdedsafsa sorry i was cleaning the jizz off my keyboard...

  • drooled

  • i was using one of those...then i woke up.

  • bravo

  • Is sketchbook designer essentially all features of sketchbook pro + vector?

  • sketchbook designer = alias sketch without having 3dmodelling? or a turbo sketchbook pro? or both? lol. little confuse on here

  • sold

  • um dia eu compro um monitor desse :))

  • I don't mean to sound dumb here but what is the name and model number of what they are using to draw?Autodesk sketchbook is the nameof the program right?I'm an artist and need this set up now!

  • if you select a tool how do you take off the screen

  • Hello. I just downloaded the trial because of this vid but I'm having a hard time finding the tool where I can click and define the line work (I don't have a tablet).

Would be awesome if you and show me where it is

  • @AnimationsAbiding you have to make a vector layer. it will come with it's own tools from there you can select the curve stroke mode, smooth curve, shift curve, straighten curve and combine curve

  • Autodesk. I've downloaded the trial for this software, and it worked on the first day. However now every subsequent day upon trying to open it... it gives me an error. It says "A software problem has caused Sketchbook Designer to close suddenly!" Meanwhile my 15 trial days are ticking away.. using Mac OSX, 2560x1600 res monitor. I'm asking here, being that its the only autodesk tech support I can find, that doesn't require money just to ask a question.

  • thanks

  • is SketchBook Pro 2011 easy to use for beginner or is corel painter easy'r than sketchbook pro 2011

  • @beepsbobby painter is a hard program at the start but gets really in depth later as you learn [this is from some of the artists at conceptart not my personal experiance.] I find sketchbook to be easy to use at the get go but it does have a steep turn when doing more advance things like textures and stuff and doesn't have the options of photoshop or painter so it is better to get it and then on of the other two after.

  • @beepsbobby sketch book is easier to use and very good to sketch.

corel painter is harder to get started, but very good to paint.

  • With 2 monitors, a common mistake when calibrating the pen is often not selecting the cintiq from the "monitor" pulldown. By default, it is often set to the other external monitor, thus creating an offset. It is worth to double check.

Otherwise, I was wondering which set up are you using?

Is your Wacom 12wx set as the only, primary or secondary monitor? mirror?

I have tested these setups successfully on a Window 7 64 bits, with a ATI FirePro V7800 and the the latest Wacom Driver: 6.1.6-5.

  • @SketchBookPro is the touch screen monitor with the program in the price//And if is...what is the price i'm going to buy it..

  • Hello

I would like to write here there is a problem with Sketchbook 2011 trial version on Windows 7 64bit system. When you're zooming your image the cursor is moving about 5mm below the pen ( wacom cintiq 12wx ). When you want to draw something on zoom above 100% the pen is moved, but in 100% image everything is ok.

On old xp 32 bit system everything works fine. I checked it on diffrent wacom drivers.

  • Thank you very much :)

  • all right maybe one of you guys can help me with this WTF is the difference between sketchbook pro 2011 vs. sketchbook designer 2011

  • @beatiny Designer's main difference to Pro is that it is a hybrid vector and paint environment. The vector curves make strokes editable, so more precision and flexibility to adjust. Designer also has more manipulation and transformation capabilities. The price and system requirements are also different. Best way to know is to use the free trials.

  • @SketchBookPro

thx for the info but as a Game Designer, Web Designer and Graphic Artist witch one would suit my needs best? what would Autodesk recommend?

  • @beatiny Based on that, I would say SketchBook Designer... lots of creative ways explore and evolve ideas through manipulating and warping content as you go.

  • @SketchBookPro

ahhh see...that's just the answer i was looking for thank u kindly SketchBookPro Sr./Ms. the Autodesk's website was a little ambiguous its wasnt helping me come to a conclusion but your reply help just fine...i godda nother question of topic im kinda feeling to lazy to search for it but maybe u can help with that too...i need help finding good tutorials for Maya nd Sketchbook Designer can u point me to the right direction thx (i know im asking for alot)

  • @beatiny sketchbook pro has many less features and sketchbook designer 2011 is used for drawing stuff on here unlike on sketchbook pro unless you had super steady hangs to hold your pen or mouse and draw those lines unlike designer which you can click and drag the line a different way unlike pro

  • hey SketchBookPro, you see at 0:03 to 0:09 how do you create them lines rather than sketching them ?

  • @DigitalNemesis1 On vector layers, you can create those curve strokes by sketching (with a tablet) or by using mouse clicks to define the line work. Either way, you can select and edit them.

  • @SketchBookPro Sorry to bother you, but how do I get up "vector layers"? I have search everywhere looked it up yet I still can't find it. Can someone tell me how to start it up and use it?

  • @IKillerPieI I don't think you have sketchbook designer, if so you can open a new vector layer bye cmd alt n

  • @MubangaDNB Wait what? cmd alt n? And who said I don't have sketchbook?

  • @IKillerPieI Sorry I wasn't clear: Cmd + Alt + N on mac Ctrl + Alt + N on windows i suppose. but it only works in Autodesk Sketchbook Designer not in the other versions I think those are totally different programs

  • @MubangaDNB Oh thanks, I have Autodesck Sketchbook Pro, not Deskigner, thats why.

  • @SketchBookPro sorry to ask, i have autodesk sketchbook pro 2011 but i don't know where to find "vector layers", does this software come with that tools?

  • @MDPstr8 yes, this is a vector program, similar to adobe illustrator. pro does not use vector art...

  • @SketchBookPro i cant select the line and edit it. :( what should i do?

  • @DigitalNemesis1 it's part of the designers program, it uses both traditional, and vector lines, what you are seeing him do is plot down a vector, then sketch over it like a template.

  • Hello,

Where can I find the eraser tool?

it should be in toolbar I suppose, but it s not!

also when i try to erase with the end of my pen, it just draw new lines! do u have any idea about that?

  • @8ghazale8 Eraser exists only on Paint layers. You can 'erase' on Vector layers by making segments on the curves or even 'painting' opacity change anywhere along active curves.

  • i really want a cintiq tablet, but it aint cheap lol. Maybe someday when i turn my hobby into a career (crosses fingers)
