  • 8 INVEJOSOS DE ESPORTES DE LUTA NÃO FORAM!!!!! AIKIDO:THE BEST MARTIAL ARTS

  • with the flow of energy that is created when being attacked it all comes down to the individual whether or not you want to do some serious damage to your attacker.

  • i try to use aikido when i spar. i mostly have sucess when my sparring partners are the aggressor.

aikido is a beautiful art and truly a self defence art. if anyone had the knoledge of the science behind the physicics, leverage, timing and the human anotomy knowledge they would know that it's not fake and they will appriciate the beauty of the aikido.

CSW student for 5 years now.

billy robinson the master of catch wrestling is the one who opened my mind to a new level.

  • this is such a faggot sport

i would probably kick their asses with 1 hand

  • @Vantaso your funny

  • jajaja pura mierda este video

  • Aikido is Tai chi, period.

  • In real life defense situations, an attacker will end up with having a broken arm. What more can be deadly than breaking your attacker's arm?

  • @tshk5271221

    Breaking your attacker's neck.

  • I have been training in aikido for a long time now, its very useful. The techniques that are used are meant to 1. Stop you from using to much energy and 2. Use the energy of your opponent, counter acting balances and momentum use power, therefor when they come at you with speed, they are going to get thrown further and faster, also the people he's against look like they are putting it on as some people say aren't it's a technique you use to avoid attacks, it's a type of role, very fast and easy

  • @FalarVerdade i agree many people always doubt aikido because of its looks but I believe that is a very powerful tool.

  • Many say that aikido isn't efective because it isn't used in mma fights. Aikido is against competition because it goes against its ideal of harmony(=aiki). Aikido is about timing and antecipation. And using the laws of physics. You don't block uke, you get away from puches/kicks and then you take him off balance and use a technique against him. Also many aikido things are just not allowed in mma fights, because they're dangerous to a non practitioner.

  • 3:00 "yeah I'm just gonna hold on to his wrist for 8 years" stupid crap ....

  • In Aikido its simple,

least energy used but you end up twisting your opponents arm. You don't attack really, you use his attack to take advantage of his balance and take him down with few moves.

In boxing, you can't really take down anyone until you punch the person severely, which is very energy consuming and time taking.

  • from the views of someone like me it looks like the people hes throwing are throwing themselves and thats badass but then again i cant do akido XD

  • Aikido first appeared during the boxer uprising and is supposed to use an enemies strength against himself. Of course a mma fighter could knock out an aikidoka, but only if he gets to land a punch/kick. Aikido is all about getting out of the line of fire. You're supposed to calm yourself and your enemy down, so that he will stop attacking you by himself. It's not about hurting your enemy (in the original idea) and absolutely defensive.

  • I'm a Mix Martial Artist and Aikido Artist.. Both are great forms once there mix. and I have a 21-3 Record!

  • lol the noise at 5:19

  • Aikido is the most effective in real situation. MMA can't stand for knife and eye gauge. Aikido assume real dangerous situation not bare hand not no eye gauge.

  • @zxxtarutaruxxz Cage fighting isn't as real as people make it out to be.

  • To all the experts who are questioning Aikidos practicality against an MMA fighter or a real life situation. It works! Being a police officer I find myself using it with most takedowns. Ive been practicing Aikido since I was 9 and I can assure you that all these techniques, combined with kyusho jitsu (pressure points) are definately effective. Most MMA fighters would do the smart thing and not attempt to confront an aikido master as they would be well aware what would happen to them. Great video

  • A lot of what uke (the attacker) does is important training as well: in terms of tempering, break falls, flexibility, coordination, etc. And training is training, neither boxers nor MMA fighters train for a fight by actually fighting full out (how many people could you find to actually fight floyd or pacquiao, for example, to get them ready for a bout?)

  • hey hey you see the way he's flipping him all over the matt,

i can help thinking parece a el baile de la queradita con la diferensia que

nosotros no tratamos hoder al orto, y si se gode pues procuramos que no pase de nuevo

    HAHAHAH

  • whats about the porn music..

  • What style are the attackers using? It sucks!

  • EN UNA PELEA VERDADERA SERIA OTRO CUENTO, EN LO MENOS QUE UNO PIENSA ES EN AGARRARLE LA MANO, QUE HAGA UN COMBATE CON LA ARRAÑA SILVA A VER SI VA A SER LO MISMO...

  • MMA is simply a distillation of different aspects of various martial arts that were proven to be effective for a specific purpose - UFC-style fighting. I have seen how MMA fighting styles evolved since UFC first started and how certain styles had their time of domination, until somebody comes along with a new set of skills and techniques. MMA fighters are the best at what they specifically train to do - compete in MMA. To believe that they are the best fighters per se is simply misguided.

  • For everyone who feels that it's not real, and that what you are seeing here cannot possibly be used on the streets, you're right. This is a demonstration of the techniques we practice at Yoshinkan Aikido, and it's aimed at a very specific audience: the students of Aikido (or those who just enjoy watching it). You can't understand the technique if it's so fast that all the motions are blurs, so the master exaggerates them and makes it slower. In a real fight, everything would end much faster.

  • ok he grabbed his and and he is waiting for like 2 sec ? he would get smashed in real

  • Hahaha, what is this? Self defence for women? LOL! Try tossing around 200lbs mixed martial artist with this xD

  • @dascoffe That would be pretty easy actually, An Aikido practitioners are taught to take on groups of enemies at once, slinging them around like ragdolls with very little energy involved, Your 200lbs. MMA Cuddle Monster would have a tough time.

  • @riisimees I agree too. no matter how strong you are, once you get caught by an Aikidoist you only have a two chances and that is to tap or submit or do the worst part resist and insist (it only triggers the Aikidoist to have you broken, thinking you still want to fight)

  • excellent aikido!!! and yes very very deadly and can not be used for sports with normal mma or street fighters. because street and mma fighters attack so violently that a regular akidoka will have a very difficult time subduing them without hurting them badly. so sport fighting and aikido will never work.

  • yes give your hand to your oponent and than jump or roll-over. Thats demonstrates its useless! If u want to show your friends that u can grab theyr arms and put them in a painfull position AIKIDO is awesome. if u want real standup skills go for muay-thai, kickboxing, kyokusin,.. if u want good ground game go for brasilian jiu jitsu or wresling.

  • the leverage, the physics, the flow, the ki/chi..

the science behind this art is beutiful and so presice.

    i's hard to see it

  • But i am skeptical because i wanna see a boxer or someone like that come at this guy and see how he reacts, these slow overhand movements are predictable for him so he sees them coming and reacts quickly. I want someone to use a feint and punch/kick etc.

  • @iHacksorzz Many of those movements are based on weapon attacks, such as knife, club etc. I also do Aikido, and I will say that this style is best against weapons, however can be applied to unarmed combat. But for that, I prefer Chinese Boxing. This is why I blend both styles to meet my needs. But I have used a few Aikido techniques in sparring, so they do work.

  • To all those who discredit Aikido... please, I urge you to at least try attending a full week worth of class at your local Yoshinkan dojo. I know sometime it can look fake when you watch it, but many masters of Aikido had thought the same when they first saw it themselves. Gozo Shioda was famous for this, as he challenged Ueshiba O-sensei during his first visit, and was promptly defeated. He signed up as a live-in pupil the next day (uchi-denshi). The training is fun, and you make many friends!

  • @xiealic Thanks for the history. Alot of people are quick to talk bad about an art and have no idea what they are talking about. Further more if these traditional arts did not work they would not have been around so long of course u might to do some alterations for todays fightihg. . Maybe not in the ring but who care the ring is not real life anyway

  • No chance for the Uke !!!

  • Ju no geiko in perfection !!! Impressive

  • a real master at aikido can do some real damage in MMA, because they will modify it to not violate the rules but enhance their other skills. Theres nothing wrong with learning aikido to increase your hand speed for punches and grappling and/or submission moves will be stronger. If you dont know what rules im talking about violating im referring to small joint manipulation which aikido is known for.

  • very very beautiful.... im not sure about the effectiveness tho...

  • @ennot: Yes, what your mind believes it can achieve. At the highest level, the practitioner should use energy instead of mechanical techniques and the attacker should not get hurt. I just learned Aikido for almost 3 months now (I go every Sunday) and I now know how to use energy and it is effortless. The senseis in my club teach both hard and soft styles, but I prefer the soft style. I also noticed that some may know how to use ki but don't know how to teach the students.

  • @DHL428 you've been going one a week for 3 month, and you know how to use energy effortlessly.. you're going to be the next O Sensei in a couple years from now. Let me know when, I'll come learn from you

  • Poor Ukemi, i hope he recovers,,,it s more related to Ju Jutsu than usual Aikido,,,but it s cool...

  • Sensei Takeno's opponents are telegraphing there moves quite obviously. I am a fan of Aikido but I have to admit I would like to see a more realistic mode of attack from an opponent tan some goofball with his hand held 3 ft above his head karate chop style coming at me. Who does that?

  • The first thing you learn in Aikido, Judo, Jujitsu, or Hapkido is how to fall correctly. The Ukes are doing a great job with their falling techniques.

  • It depends on the practitioner. If you practiced for 13 years and could not use it to protect yourself, then my be there is something wrong with your techniques or the person who teaches you is not doing a good job correcting your techniques. In the West I noticed that there is quality issue at some schools/clubs. I just joined Aikido and I got the techniques down faster than most of the black belts in my class.

  • @DHL428 it's nice to believe

  • Thank you for posting a truly inspiring video!!

  • this vid is dedicaited for people who thing the Aikido is fake ,But true is Aikido is not a fake is not a magic ,is just true moron's ..Topic closed...................

  • in real life., messing with people who knows Aikido is a big trouble., it's either you fall(if you know how to roll) or having your arms or hand dislocated., trust me., don't mess with those guys., even if they are just Rank Kyu.,

  • @yiNj92 I agree. No matter how strong you are, you will get injured if an aikido master only grabs your hand... Yes, a big trouble you will face

  • Beautiful. Very nice, at 8:22 you see he ajusts his throw to give the uke a chance to fall correctly. If he simply would have continued the throw it would have been a bad fall. True mastership, being in total control.

  • If you resist the demonstrator during a demo, your demo will probably be cut very short. So for the sake of the audience they are going into the fall, but you have to in order to resist injury.

  • is it just me or.. All I can see is the opponent didn't use any technique at all, they just let themselves to be defeated.

  • @olid686 Once you're caught in the technique (Thus the word "demonstration") you do not want to take damage right ? So you follow the movements and ride his rhythm. Many people see Aikido as just throwing people, they don't see that it also teaches you to fall correctly without hurting yourself.

  • Excelente demostración.

  • please step in to the ring.

  • 4:34 !! Owww. That could have caused some serious injury!!

People are always questioning Aikido Falls.. that mere second of bad fall technique combined with some amazing Aikido, could have broken the Uke's arm.

This video is impressive. Very strong technique! Truly Amazing!!

  • Best part 3:53!

  • Wow, he just swept the floor with them! *o*

  • AWESOME!

  • awesome video!!!

  • 8:10 brutal!

  • FATALITY

  • I think this video should be dedicated to all of those people who say Aikido is fake and does not work. I mean yes it is rehearsed over and over again but that is to gain mastery. If you watch carefully Takeno Sensei is moving faster than his uke, especially in the 1995 segment. If uke was a person on the street or some racist supremacist wanna be he would be broken and seek religion or whatever it took for him to think correctly.

  • @groundpounder35 The haters usually fail to realize uke has two options... serious injury, or falling. Guess which way you take if you want to keep practicing... =)

  • @SpamOfCan Yes, my school stresses that taking ukeme is not losing. And if done and learned properly it can save your life.

  • @SpamOfCan Not hating, but I'ld like to see a demonstration when the other guy isnt in on it. I'd like to see this Aikido in the UFC or somewhere practical. I'm sure the wrist and joint locks are the real deal but in a fight it wouldnt be that fluid....or maybe ot would be

  • @groundpounder35 Aikido is not fake...WRESTLING is FAKEE!!!

  • @groundpounder35 I disagree. It is hard to move fast and with high precision in a pre-defined situation, but it's nowhere near as hard as it is in a free fight.

I have never seen a person win a competitive fight using aikido as their base system. If you have examples to the contrary - please share.

By competitive I don't mean a competition, I mean a fight against a person who's aim is to best you instead of help you train by providing an attack - as it is the case with aikido.

  • @ennot If you watch the segment from '95, he is clearly moving faster than his uke. You have never seen anyone win a competitive fight using Aiki. Well than you have not seen much fights, or maybe haven't seen anyone who is competent in Aiki. I know it worked for me as a bouncer, thats why I know it works. But not all Aiki is the same, if you are talking about some of the crappy stuff out there than I agree. It depends on teachers and partners on the mat.

  • @groundpounder35 any links to any such fights?

There are videos of fights where people successfully used techniques from aikido. Even one of Ashihara karate champions did that. We know techniques work, most of them come from jujitsu anyway. But there isn't a fight that I've seen where aikido would be the base system.

If there are any, it shall be very easy to prove me wrong. Just share a link.

  • @groundpounder35 not at all. But consistent absents of any hard evidence over the years is telling, in my opinion.

I spent 13 years training in aikido. I do think aikido is great art, just not a system you could apply directly.

It's like Latin language, it's useful if you want to advance as a linguist, but you won't be able to use it to converse with anybody.

  • @ennot Why dedicate 13 years to something that you don't think works? Either you don't have faith in YOUR system, or in yourself. But I have used it on more than one occasion, and I am here to tell about it. And Aikido mixed with its close relative judo is hard to beat. Sorry I know what I am talking about. If a child is taught from a very young age Aiki and thats all they know, then its second nature and that system is very effective to them.

  • @groundpounder35 Any hard evidence of aikido working as a base system for anybody?

I don't think many systems even have this problem. Many systems today have issues due to sport rules they adopt, and people argue endlessly about them. But few consistently fail to demonstrate anything at all.

Again, I like aikido. It's great art, and it's useful. But a complete fighting system it is probably not

  • @ennot its not ment to be a fighting system.Never has been.

  • @SouthMadeDrunk I couldn't say when O Sensei meant it to be - I wasn't there. But I agree that today a fighting system aikido is not

  • @groundpounder35 Having a hobby is fine, but it's the real world scenerio that shows it's not practical. Think of it this way, if Aikido was as effective as it is in this video then they would be dominating Martial Art competitions. Aikido is just another type of Judo, and Judo has a better track record at those competitions.

  • @kikook222 Spoken like someone who does not know what they are talking about. Aikido or Aikibudo as it originally was called is slightly older than Judo. And for those who are real smart they practice both because they enhance one another. As for the fabled MMA you are eluding to, its a sport. And can't take on 2 or 3 people at once. I used both Aiki and Judo to help me out. True martial artist and Aiki practitioners especially practice to perfect, not for exhibition.

  • @kikook222 I can tell you don't know anything about Aikido to say its not pracical.

This is an art that will brake your bones and hurt you bad. but it does take a good aikidoist. Aikido makes a better person, we are working to make life better.

  • salve sono il maestro giovanni aprile della scuola ilsamurai complimenti un aikido molto efficace

  • excellent est beaucoup dire, passable serait plus vrai

  • GRANDISSIMO UN ABBRACCIO AIKIDO PISA
