  • i got 43 cm calves without any training not even a bit of sport and they look nice not as like a fat person at all,i think im one of those guys with great genetics talking about calves :P

    I'm lucky, I have space, metal, and a lot of welding gear. I trained at World's in Marina Del Rey a few years back and talked a lot with Eddie Giuliani, who was one of Arnold's training partners. He said back in the day, they all trained calves daily, and donkeys were a staple...he said Arnold still hits his hard.

  • my calves measure about 19.5" seated. I wanna get them like 23-24". When I was 18 my calves were already 18 inches. Is that good genetics for a 6'2 frame?

  • wow your calves have grown 5 inches! sure in 10 years but this is a great example on how calves can grow if you train them hard, despite of genetics!

  • Seat calf raises are the best...good advice on sets. Also, drop sets are amazing as well.

  • The slow controlled reps are what I've been doing but I can't seem to break past a certain weight - Am I better off just going heavy and doing those fast short reps?

  • I Beat my calves up like once a week and from every angle and then they are soure for like the rest of the week so i only train them 1 time per week coz thats all i can do. so im working my way up to 2 times a week .

  • @lobmattsin The thing about working out is you need to figure out what works best for your body, do not try what i have in thei video as far as weights and reps, a majority of peopel will not be able to do it but you can lighten the load and do higher reps. Mix this and standing calf raises and you will be doing good. 2 times per week is whatI do do but everyones different. Claves are one of the most stubborn muscle groups to develop, sometimes taking years to grow

  • @lobmattsin Calfs are like abbs...you can do the mdaily if need be. Small muscle groups heal faster than any other.

  • No you do not want to work any muscle group everyday.. Do calves 2 times a week , really push them to their limits though
