The Macbook is definately the worst laptop apple has ever made. It will out date in minutes and it cant run crap fast. Buy the Pro and don't be a baby about hot laptops. Just turn it off if it gets that hot or keep it on a table and problem solved.

OMG! It's SANdisk. NOT sCandisk. It's measured in megabits, not megaBYTES. JPEG's compress to save space, you loose colour accuracy, not necessarily quality or detail. You can also save uncompressed JPEG's in any respectable photoediting program, so you wouldn't loose anything more than is already lost due to the compression on the camera. Please call them Memory cards, not camera cards. Or better yet, CompactFlash cards, which is what they really are.

why did you choose to get the 28-75mm? for that much i would be wanting a bit more zoom range for my money.

the quality of the lens for the price i paid 380, would be bad. So i decided to get something that suites a few more needs then a zoom lens. In addition, for most of the work that I do, I don't need long zooms. I shoot stock photography which is mainly close ups

But if you are into stock photography then you may as well have gotten the 50mm f1.4 which would be ideal for versatile stock photography and leave you with some extra money to buy a tripod etc... Or a dedicated macro lense

I didnt say it was a bad lense, i was wondering. I think it is quite versatile and steers clear of lense distortion. Yes i do have AN slr... A D80 with external flash, 18-200mm dx vr and a 50mm f1.4.
