@aarfeld Keith never injected, always snorted and was very anal about using specific dealers/doses. That whole "bad ass" thing is just myth. He's very articulate during interviews and is supposedly quite shy and introspective in private. . He married Patti b/c she made him feel more secure about himself (his words, not mine) so alot of the drug use was to cope with anxiety/insecurity. I doubt that he ever used drugs/booze to "prove" something either to himself or others. Those types tend to OD

@ritter89 - I knew a guy who's Dad was friends with Keith in Nashville music scene. So he met Keith a number of times when he was growing up and talked to him. Keith is apparently quite well read and intelligent. The Skull & Bones image is all "business" crap but not who he really is off stage of course.

Since '81 - basically non stop. I love a lot of other music, but it blows my mind that their music still... I still love it. That's says a lot about their songs and their playing as a band. Since '63 they've been putting out music. I'll put their "worst" album up against the best rock and roll records out there today. Among the things they should be most proud of is the consistency of quality music over SUCH A LONG TIME.
