I use cream corn in the can and I put as many pieces as you can fit on the hook and let it sit on the bottom of the water. Also if you are using a spinning reel I would keep the bail open and wait for him to run with it a little bit and then close the bail and set the hook because if he feels any weight he will spit the hook out. Hope this helps.

Put the kind of weight with the hollow inside and then put a split shot on it tell me if you don't know what the hollow weight is.

Ok never mind just put a sinker on there but remember to keep the bail open for about 5 or 10 seconds after he takes off with it then close the bail and set the hook hard and fast my favorite way and only way to catch carp is using only 6 or 7 pound test line thats the real way to do it.
