  • Why black and white?

  • Well done man, I love these light-hearted 'piani' tracks. Have you had a go at the 'slide show' tracks from FF8?

  • great!

  • im looking for a great remix of FFVI Spinach Rag ,, and didn't find any great remix for it ,,,,, help!!!

  • Niceeee

  • This is awesome!

  • I love this song! I'd really like to be able to play the piano, if only to be able to play Spinach Rag.

    You were great. :>

  • This is so awesome! Could listen to this all day! :D Love what you did with the last 30 seconds! Amazing! :D

  • (8) purabs caru apabs caru purabs caru para baru pap pu(8)

    ahahaha nice

  • To slow. But its pretty good.

  • Did you put it in B&W because it sounds like a song from and old movie?

  • COOL!

  • awesome awesome

  • AWESOME!!!

  • Very nice. Seems ever so slightly "slower" than the original.

  • AMAZING! You sir , Deserve a medal!

  • Not enough bounce in it. You need to put more energy into playing it. Don't be so hesitant.

  • ohh god this sing brings back memories, great interperetation

  • man the official sheets are shit lol there are so many mistakes including wrong key signature with an extra G# that makes one part sound in minor instead ofm joar on page 3

  • one of the great subtle songs of the best video game music ever made, well done!

  • lovely. hey why dont you try melodies of life :) its really one cool piece of music by Nobuo Uematsu. hehe

  • This piece... I play it like my life depends on it and I screw up so often... Dude you make it look easy.

  • Awesome!

You do Video Game Ragtime too!

    I know a good one, it's called K.K. Ragtime.

  • This was just really, really good....man, i love your videos

  • Sounds like chocobos running at points. lol I like Nobuo Uematsu. He makes well composed pieces. One that you should definitely play is his 'To Zanarkand'. It's from FFX ,I think. Well, once again.. That was a very entertaining performance. =]

  • Are you kidding me? There are like a million videos of that song. Don't get me wrong, it's a great song, but we don't need anymore (talking about To Zanarkand).

  • I am very well aware of that. I as a musician, just wanted to see how he would perform it, compared to how I play it; I, only just starting. That's all. C:

  • You forgot a comma after I, before as a musician.

  • douche move from eldoucho :p

  • Great stuff as usual.

  • Really awesome!

    5 stars!

  • Amazing! You can play anything and also without reading the notes, thanks for sharing.

  • nice. five star performance

  • very well done. I feel comfortable saying this is the best performance of spinach rag on youtube.

  • Awesome! Sounds like something Chico Marx would play. Man, all of your videos are great.

    You are truly an inspiration!

  • I thought Chico too as I watched the hands.

  • You got my hooked on this song, but you've made a few audible mistakes on there. A painful addiction.

  • wow, what a technique.. great! nothing to criticize.

  • I remember playing Final Fantasy 3, and seeing this songs name wondering where they came up with spinach rag. I was 10 ok...

Anyways, Ragtime, a genre from 1899 to 1918.

    Mystery solved!

  • Great job! Very nice execution

  • Is there anywhere I could find the sheet music? ;)

  • I agree, your tempo is just perfect. love it. I think this is the best spinach rag vid on youtube so far. great job man. better watch out soon coz I'm gonna beat you.. but that's gonna take some years. =P hahaha

  • the tempo is perfect for me. I would no be better if played faster...

  • Not many misses at all, the tempo was a bit low, but that's understandable because this version is to hard to play as fast as the oroginal if your name isn't Martin Leung. :P

  • This song is on my head quite a bit, and I'd like to be able to play it that well. A good, upbeat tune.

  • Damnnnnnn GREATTTJOB!!!!!your amazing :]

    keep up the goodworkkkk :]

  • one day... i will play this... but it looks difficult. i take ages to learn ONE song lol. ah, 2 more years maybe i'll be playing it. you're good at the piano dude. keep it up. hope to hear more FF! heheeheh :D

  • great job!

what i like most is when you play legato at 1:18. it makes it sound better than the original version.

dont you hate how that rich guy outbids everybody on the things you actually want?

  • makes you wish that you could have a "random" battle encounter with him XD

  • I thought it was just me who catches other notes in those octaves leaps in the A section lol. I wonder how you can get better at these things other than having large hand span(which I'll never have)?

Also I was trying to play this almost double your speed which meant the octave jumps and the last part with the semiquaver triplets was virtualy impossible. so I'll have another go.

  • I don't know why, but I always laugh when I screw up the last note like that, lol. Anyways, I actually prefer digitals/keyboards in youtube recordings. Uprights sound horrible. Overall, I liked your performance.

  • Nice man, another good version, i am not very well in measure "9-11 & 13-15" of Part C, sounds a bit messy if compare your version. Your are brilliant! :)

  • I really liked it. The tempo was great, not too fast like it usually happens when I see rags on YouTube. I also noticed you took some ideas of the recording, like when you did the shake (or whatever the name of that ornamentation is) in the rubato part of the song. It really adds something. There were a few mistakes here and there, but I know myself those are hard to avoid in octave jumps.

  • If you want to add difficulty to it: you can add thirds between the octaves (in c it would be C-E-C, for example) and do the bass notes in octaves. That's how it's played in the original recording. Too hard for me though =P

I know most of that song already and would like to finish it someday... What fingering did you use for the sixtuples?

oh, and I'm definitely subscribing to you ^_^

  • I always wondered why the recording sounded different, I'll try it someday. for the sixtuples: 454321212345 for the run starting on A, and 3431321 for the run starting on G, hope that helps lol.

    Thanks for subscribing!

  • aside from a few hardly noticeable mash-ups, this is brilliant dude!

  • thanks, damn mistakes lol.

  • you got the beat others seem to miss. nice!

  • thanks for watching

  • Have you named your piano yet?

  • lol, did you mean "tuned"? i'll think of a nice name anyway. Thanks for subscribing!

  • love your FF songs :)

  • Yay! Great job. I'm learning this now for a music practical exam in two weeks. Hope that's enough time...

  • thanks for subscribing. good luck!

  • i echo the above comments.

I like your playing style...hope your Piano gets better soon :p
