  • This is the music God has on his ipod.

  • @367mclovin sooo true!! Loved your comment!

  • I went to the last concert held by the LPO. It was really nice to listen to such talented musicians.

But there was this guy who shouted: "You're dragging it, you're dragging it! This is a monstrosity! How can people listen to this?" Then he went out the door. He made himself look like the biggest fool ever.

  • BEST BAND EVER!!! LED FUCKING ZEPPLIN!!!!! My grandpa's friend was actually 1st french horn in the london philharmonic he played on the Star Wars movies!! I forget his last name but his fisrt name is John and he also writes songs and he wrote some music for Paul McCartney and he has also did some stuff with Madonna! His wife let me play her electric cello it was awesome I actually played Stairway to Heaven.

  • I get the chicken skin all over the place. Nicely done!

  • The London Philharmonic Orchestra plays for Nightwish albums also. They play symphonic metal.

  • This music is amazing. I'been listening to your Orchestra via Zune and I love it!

  • who the fuk would dislike this

  • @tennisbeasta1234 1 saddened twat obviously :( Feel for that one..., they went bad...

  • @abatsman69 were they ever good in the first place

  • 1 person is a satanist listening to Burzum!!!!

  • there's no word to describe thisssss!!!!!

  • This could be written by one Mozzart really...Led Zeppellin music geniuses!!!Music never dies people...and classical too!!

  • For earlier orchestral versions of Stairway to Heaven, search Stairway Schubert on the web.

  • wow

  • I've been listening to this all day. It's so beautiful.

  • I dislike! For this beautiful music. I bet you are a Justin Bieber fan...

  • anybody knows if this song has been used for any soundtrack? Thanksss

  • Only two groups in this entire universe can play that song. One if Zeppelin, the other are the London Philharmonics.Nuff said

  • this is really beautiful! thanks a lot

  • This is incredible. How much do you think those guys get paid?

  • perfect soundtrack for an epic movie of knights, swords, magic kingdoms and blue dragons sailing by seas of multicoloured clouds...

  • masterpiece...

  • Ooh Sometimes I wonder

  • Holy shit....this is fuckin' great music ! wonderful!

  • this is fucking amazing

  • Who listens to Stairway and thinks to themselves "I can improve on that". These people do.

  • This is My Anthem

  • Listeneing to this on YouTube does not do it justice. You MUST pick this up on iTunes and plug it directly into your home stereo or on your headphones so none of the fidelity is lost (in fact, get the whole release: Kashmir, Going to California, When the Levee Breaks, ALL great renditions) .

Like many probably, I've heard Stairway so many times in my life that it lost its luster. LPO has done a MASTERFUL job returning its beautifully mysterious ambience. Well done lads!!!

  • T^T so pretty!

  • This is so amazingly beautiful! i would love so much to play this in my symphony! <3 Can you get an MP3 of this song? I just love it

  • Too soft..

Sounds like a movie soundtrack...not a single piece...

  • This piece, this particular recording when I first heard it in high school, is what motivated me to write for orchestra. It shows that an orchestra is far from a "stuffy", classically-bound group of musicians. Shows the depth of both the composer and the individual master musicians who collaborate to create something so unattainable without each other.

  • damn 1 person missed the like button

  • This song is pretty mush a symphony piece anyway.

  • love the section 07:51 - 08:51 were the pictures and music melt perfectly !

  • Now kid, do you understand the meaning of music?

  • briliantlly, ecpically beautiful

  • really nice

  • Ahhhh, I love how the harp sounds!!!

  • fine art gets finer.

add me on facebook, please: jock doubleday

    thanks

  • Smartly, the video series shining, is a pity - quality has brought the image.

  • Tenho vários discos de vinil com essa orquestra maravilhosa tocando Led Zepelin, Queen , Scorpions e outros clássicos ... Simplesmente impecável!!!

  • Clap Clap Clap Clap Clap Clap Clap Clap Clap

    Fantastic, fantastic, fantastic !

  • OMG so beautiful I'm crying, wow

  • I wept the first time I heard this version. This is truly powerful.

  • Damn, one word describes this - epic!

  • love the secion at the end 07:52 -08:50 ENGLANDS philharmonic orchestral playing ENGLANDS classic led zeppepin !

  • whoever disliked this song should go kill themselves

  • love the tempo change at 3:17_3:45

  • its verry beautiful, and yeah the brass can be really over the top killing the songs soul, i like it this way

  • totaly outstanding !

  • put the picture up to full screen . increase the volume to full . then sit back and let this beautiful music take you through a great journey of pure emotions !

  • eh o trem mai doido q eu ja ouvi!!

  • thats frieken awesome!!! so good

  • I wish the brass came in with as much enthusiasm as the strings, would be absolute perfection.

They seem shy and ease in from the crescendo, which may be as they're being directed but its kind of a let down... you feel that build and you're ready to FEEL the brass.. and there's just not much there

  • @trexilll

and to clarify, I'm talking about sections like brass at 2:40, 3:40 vs the intensity of strings at 4:13

Just an opinion but i'm sure i'll get flamed for it

  • @trexilll

good observation. i agree, it is a bit of an anticipatory let-down. thanks for pointing it out

  • Nope :D as you seem to be quite knowledgeable. Good comments!

  • @trexilll idk if you're in an orchestra or anything like that, but brass can be overbearing in the orchestra, so they are usually quieter than necessary so that they blend in

  • Oh no doubt, and the problem can be drastically worse in environments with poor acoustics, but it seems to me that to censor the soul of a song simply to refrain from being "overbearing" is weak.. And I doubt that's the problem here, as the brass is perfect at the 6 minute mark, they're just being directed softly earlier. Simply a difference in taste between me/director

I'm not in an Orchestra but I played a few DCI tours (which is perhaps where my bias for powerful brass originated xD)

  • @Shadowbunnyjedi

yes I agree, when brass is to strong it usually kills a song for me, I like this very much the way it is.

  • i love 7:50 - 8:50. what a sad minute....

  • Great study music! I love Led Zeppelin, but the orchestrated rendition is more soothing!

  • I love london philharmon orcgestra. Discovered them accidently searching for pinkfloyd. Found time by LPO and ever since been a fan. I would love to see and hear them live!

  • I wept when I heard this for the first time

  • Wow, very nice

  • Holy crap, ask and I receive.

YES, I so wanted to hear exactly this.

I may have to go out and buy this CD now :¬]

  • Really? Are you effing kidding me? They just made the greatest effing rock song into the greatest effing classical song! Well done, London Philharmonic. Well effing done!!!

  • FTW!

  • Lindíssima!! ão tenho palavras...

  • Damn, Led Zeppelin are influential mother fuckers! :D

  • diffrent stairway to heaven it`s touch my heart..

  • don't now why but they really bring out the 16th century folk theme from within this song

  • All it is is flutes playing in the intro, and they are playing here-probably not as prevalent as in the original

  • "All it is is flutes playing in the intro".......Are you deaf or just ignorant?

  • u guys do know they have this on itunes right?

  • Beautiful.

  • this song made my cry, im not even joking

  • I sure like that cello in the part around 01:42 and on! I love that melody!

  • 01:05

    Which movie is this?

  • great;)

  • I swear this could fit into a Final Fantasy game or something.

    Excellently arranged and played.

  • thats the most beautiful song i have ever heard this way. it is truly indesccriblable.

  • brillant ...

  • I sure hope the London Philharmonic Orchestra knows how fantastic they are! Beautiful Video! Astarta81
