Dude, put a ferrous can around each rod magnet with an aperture like a slot runing lengthwise. Use a solenoid to movea small ferous strip which is marginally wider than the aperture over to slide it out of the way. With enough V gates on the same axis but staggered turning a generator you can power the solenoids to close the aperture at max resistance. Nice v gate!

I've always viewed this style of motor as less of a perpetual motor but more as a mechanism for harnessing energy from the earth's magnetic field, in the same sense as a solar panel is to the sun.
Set it up with 1 sticking point, use multiple stators that are longer than widest point of V pattern, put a steel band beneath array magnets, and post the results.

Secure two triangle pieces on the outer edges of the wheel so that they slide the magnet up during rotation. Have this magnet suspended freely like a trampeze.

You could build a mechanism attached to the axis of the wheel that could do the job ur hands are doing. An oval wheel attached to the axis, the rotation of it would cause ups and downs of the magnets. This could work witout the need of ur hands on it. Consequently you could attach other equipments to the axis of the wheel and have it producing free energy. You might need stronger magnets. I dont know if friction or the magnets are unbalanced that are causing the wheel to stop so soon.
use the gating mechanism to enable precision placement of the motor - it should be able to stop predictably in exactly one place due to the gates, right?
You need a mag sheild to make this work..but you need to make it spin enough to create electricty,, as well as it needs to hold a load when electricity is taken from it..not practical use in this world..sorry..keep researching..
Nice job a lot of work and thanks for posting the poles in the video. Try putting a pendulum to alternate the two stacks of magnets. With the mass of the wheel and off set of the pudendum motion it should go for a while.

@Jeenyus1983 Absolutely not, but the secret of the wheel spinning is the energy I spend moving the bar magnet backwards. So if you use springs, it'd stop in a few seconds after the first push due to the friction.
I had the idea of using perpendicular guides to move the external magnet(s), so that the angular moving of the bar is controlled.

@umsiadbintoo The point is to lower the friction of the gate. Conservation of energy doesn't need to be broken, but you see, quantum mechanics has proven that EVERYTHING around us is energy, and there is enormous potential energy in every sq cm around us...
To clarify, imagine the motion your hand is making over time, or compared to the surface of the wheel... there is a hump over each gate. Now just build that same hump upside down into the wheel. ie the gates are lower on the surface.

It will be the same height from the magnets, and this is how you are lowering the friction gate field... you are entering it at a point where the magnetic lines are less dense.

@umsiadbintoo thats funny, because the laws went out the window when brown's gas was proven to run a combustion engine.. My generator runs on brown's gas, it takes 200 watts to produce and the generator puts out 2 kilowatts (2000 watts)..... I wouldn't call it entirely free, but water over here is pretty cheap

Ok-I'll spill the beans-take the v-gate idea-mount magnets inside/instead of outside the cylinder...Then using a suspended axle shaft with 3 stators at opposing angles and you'll have 2 stators pulling threw the sticky spot on the gate...mount perpendicular instead of verticly and avoid the gravitational pull on the stators-thats my idea-a man from australia hasnt shown the internals but I beleive he came up with the same concept....

you need a Mesh Steel Shield blocking the last 3 on each side, and make a C shape coming from the center of the wheel and lift the magnet instead of your hands, you could make it more effective and no longer man powered, make the Cs as vertical as possible that way gravity pulls them back into their proper position.

Yes, there are many videos of not full round spirals. However, the acceleration you gain on the go, you loose it when the magnets row is over, because they attract the rotator back.

This can perfectly produce energy, all you need to do is have the magnets that is currently in your hand go by them selfs, rotating like a piston or like train weels, and you could easly get 12v maby more depending on the amount of magnets you use.
The man is pushing the wheel round even though he never touches it. It turns smoothly due to cunning magnetic reasons but he will be feeling the magnets push back at him and so he is doing the work. Its basically similar to pushing a magnet across a room will another magnet, you never touch it but you still do all the work.
This guy isn't pretending PM so props to him. I expect he never finished because he could feel the resistance he had to overcome to push it round.
He just needs to use 1" round by 1/4" thick Neo 42 magnets, than he will have the required torque to actuate a spring loaded arm for the stator shielding. It should be a double ended actuator arm like that of a seesaw. Magnets are heavy, where as actuating shielding is much lighter, thus requiring far less energy to rock/seesaw the stator back and forth.
But this video is very old and no updates since 2008, so it looks like the inventor may have given up.
Okay you have a working mag motor just add a cam egg curved wheel on the side with a spring pulled arm which rides the wheel. This video is just a tease finish it and put it on the web for all to see. One problem will be over coming the force needed get over the wheel curve but will right spring tension it could work.
if you attatched a gear off to the side of the wheel that was set for the perfect ratio of rotation and an arm to attatch said gear to the magnet so that it lifts when needed and pushes when needed would it run itself? not completely sure I only have an image in my head of the gear rotating with the wheel but it is slightly smaller or larger so that it rotates at a different ratio of the wheel but with the same velocity , I don't know just curious

Well, imagine a hill next to another hill, as in a sinusoidal function. If you drop a ball in the top of it, it will fall down because of the gravitational energy it has.

ok, let's accept we have a machine in a perpetual motion. This only would afirmate Newton's inercy law, because if there's no friction, the wheel will continue spinning.
However, an accelerated perpetual motion yes would break any law. In addition, talk about simple perpetual motion, if there was only a little friction force, in order to balance this force the machine should be making a force, so creating energy, an this is impossible, since energy only transforms.
Finally, as a response about what you say about magnet's life, I must tell you that magnet's life is only the system life, as it was a gear, a car's wheel, or a rubber being used. You don't "take" energy from the magnets, magnets are only pieces that make the system work. I could haven't used magnets and make the wheel spin with my hand, or with a stick, and would be the same. Of course, it wouldn't have been so interesting ;)
the speed you win in the wide part of the track (where the greater acceleration is) is lost in the narrow part, that's why I pull the magnetic bar up, to avoid decelerating.
The answer is the adams and bedini principle which shuts the magnet of instead of removing it. The magnet in hand becomes an electro magnet.
When the wheel approaches the sticking point it de energizes. The secret being that as any electro magnet is shut off there is a momentary polarity reversal which then pushes the incoming magnet on by.
An electrical charge is also generated in this now de activated electro magnet. That charge is harvested to a battery.
As our machines aren't perfect, and there is friction, electricity and resistance, circular systems (...-wheel-battery-wheel-battery-... ) aren't permanent.
I don't get to understand the battery chargement, but anyway, I can say that any energy taken from the wheel will make it slow down (except heat of course).
Sincerely, I don't remember how an electromagnet works, but I guess that there would be a reaction force when you shut it or when you turn it on. Don't forget e.magnets consume energy

calculations I have done approximate that my device will keep spinning for about 300 years if built with materials with low friction such as teflon & steel. XP666-7 seems to be a good material to keep it going for a couple of years.

The way to prove that thing out is to mechanize those stator actions and drive them from the rotor axis.

Perhaps:
Put the 3 gates in parallel rather than in series... in other words 3 wheels side by side on same shaft.
Each spread over most of the wheel...
Each OUT OF PHASE WITH THE OTHER 2 so as 1 feels gate resistance the other 2 are pulling it through.
AND add a flywheel.
Again, great try!! Stay with it.

You could build a mechanism attached to the axis of the wheel that could do the job ur hands are doing. An oval wheel attached to the axis, the rotation of it would cause ups and downs of the magnets. This could work witout the need of ur hands on it. Consequently you could attach other equipments to the axis of the wheel and have it producing free energy. You might need stronger magnets. I dont know if friction or the magnets are unbalanced that are causing the wheel to stop so soon.

to get a stator of a V-track the next one takes several stators the best choice is to have a single V-track and place the maximum stator around the rotor.
For example, if your stator has a book and a repulsion at the contact point between the end and beginning of the V-track "is three books atraction you need a minimum of three stators 1 pound 1 pound + + 1 book to cancel the attraction to proceed to the next V-track. stators following are those who will force your engine!

@Jeenyus1983 Absolutely not, but the secret of the wheel spinning is the energy I spend moving the bar magnet backwards. So if you use springs, it'd stop in a few seconds after the first push due to the friction.
I had the idea of using perpendicular guides to move the external magnet(s), so that the angular moving of the bar is controlled.

@umsiadbintoo The point is to lower the friction of the gate. Conservation of energy doesn't need to be broken, but you see, quantum mechanics has proven that EVERYTHING around us is energy, and there is enormous potential energy in every sq cm around us...
To clarify, imagine the motion your hand is making over time, or compared to the surface of the wheel... there is a hump over each gate. Now just build that same hump upside down into the wheel. ie the gates are lower on the surface.

It will be the same height from the magnets, and this is how you are lowering the friction gate field... you are entering it at a point where the magnetic lines are less dense.
Just because you were disappointed and gave up, doesn't mean it can't work. Try harder ;P

My generator runs on brown's gas, it takes 200 watts to produce and the generator puts out 2 kilowatts (2000 watts)..... I wouldn't call it entirely free, but water over here is pretty cheap

Why bother bringing in some elite trying to keep us down when it is pretty selfevident why this can not work as an overunity machine; Any engine based on repulsion or attraction between two magnets uses the potential energy formed by the distance(in attraction mode) or the pushing together(in repulsion) of the magnets. In this video the system is fed energy from the person moving the magnets, and no rig where the wheel moves the magnets itself can keep it going for ever, there is always loss.

Ok-I'll spill the beans-take the v-gate idea-mount magnets inside/instead of outside the cylinder...Then using a suspended axle shaft with 3 stators at opposing angles and you'll have 2 stators pulling threw the sticky spot on the gate...mount perpendicular instead of verticly and avoid the gravitational pull on the stators-thats my idea-a man from australia hasnt shown the internals but I beleive he came up with the same concept....

you need a Mesh Steel Shield blocking the last 3 on each side, and make a C shape coming from the center of the wheel and lift the magnet instead of your hands, you could make it more effective and no longer man powered, make the Cs as vertical as possible that way gravity pulls them back into their proper position.

The man is pushing the wheel round even though he never touches it. It turns smoothly due to cunning magnetic reasons but he will be feeling the magnets push back at him and so he is doing the work. Its basically similar to pushing a magnet across a room will another magnet, you never touch it but you still do all the work.
This guy isn't pretending PM so props to him. I expect he never finished because he could feel the resistance he had to overcome to push it round.

He just needs to use 1" round by 1/4" thick Neo 42 magnets, than he will have the required torque to actuate a spring loaded arm for the stator shielding. It should be a double ended actuator arm like that of a seesaw. Magnets are heavy, where as actuating shielding is much lighter, thus requiring far less energy to rock/seesaw the stator back and forth.
But this video is very old and no updates since 2008, so it looks like the inventor may have given up.

Okay you have a working mag motor just add a cam egg curved wheel on the side with a spring pulled arm which rides the wheel. if you attatched a gear off to the side of the wheel that was set for the perfect ratio of rotation and an arm to attatch said gear to the magnet so that it lifts when needed and pushes when needed would it run itself? not completely sure I only have an image in my head of the gear rotating with the wheel but it is slightly smaller or larger so that it rotates at a different ratio of the wheel but with the same velocity , I don't know just curious

When I lift the magnet bar I'm giving it energy (I make a force) as If I helped the ball climbing up the hill to the top.

OK so what if you use electric magnese called electromagnes?? Answer then you could regulate when and how it work, tha ieverything is totaly under control just using some device to control the electromagnes insteed of pulling magnes. If the wheel is big enough and heavy than after it get 3000 Rpm than it could take less energy than it give. what do you think?

sorry but i but i dont agree. although the magnets have a system life the energy that is within the magnet can produce more energy than they hold like in relativity
E=MC2 the snowball effect or frictionless perpetual motion is what we are after within the boundaries of the system life that i hope doesnt include a stick hahha

The energy required to pull the magnet away every time is greater than the energy generated by the magnets.
The same goes for a electromagnet.
A generator connected to the wheel cannot generate more power than the electromagnet would consume.

Well, in fact the energy "generated" by the magnets it's the same that I need to pull the other magnet. It is the friction that makes this energy be in part lost ;)

in a realm of science where the materials are more infinite than us? perpetual motion doesnt break the second law it just redefines it. check out videos on the searl effect. im not here to argue but to spur on the research of great minds like yours.

ok, let's accept we have a machine in a perpetual motion. This only would afirmate Newton's inercy law, because if there's no friction, the wheel will continue spinning.
However, an accelerated perpetual motion yes would break any law. In addition, talk about simple perpetual motion, if there was only a little friction force, in order to balance this force the machine should be making a force, so creating energy, an this is impossible, since energy only transforms.

Finally, as a response about what you say about magnet's life, I must tell you that magnet's life is only the system life, as it was a gear, a car's wheel, or a rubber being used. You don't "take" energy from the magnets, magnets are only pieces that make the system work. I could haven't used magnets and make the wheel spin with my hand, or with a stick, and would be the same. Of course, it wouldn't have been so interesting ;)

the speed you win in the wide part of the track (where the greater acceleration is) is lost in the narrow part, that's why I pull the magnetic bar up, to avoid decelerating.

The answer is the adams and bedini principle which shuts the magnet of instead of removing it. The magnet in hand becomes an electro magnet.
When the wheel approaches the sticking point it de energizes. The secret being that as any electro magnet is shut off there is a momentary polarity reversal which then pushes the incoming magnet on by.
An electrical charge is also generated in this now de activated electro magnet. That charge is harvested to a battery.

As our machines aren't perfect, and there is friction, electricity and resistance, circular systems (...-wheel-battery-wheel-battery-... ) aren't permanent.
I don't get to understand the battery chargement, but anyway, I can say that any energy taken from the wheel will make it slow down (except heat of course).
Sincerely, I don't remember how an electromagnet works, but I guess that there would be a reaction force when you shut it or when you turn it on. Don't forget e.magnets consume energy

i solved the issue of having to do any work on it. check my video for the design. I hope somebody builds it because I am way to busy to do it myself.
calculations I have done approximate that my device will keep spinning for about 300 years if built with materials with low friction such as teflon & steel. XP666-7 seems to be a good material to keep it going for a couple of years.

The way to prove that thing out is to mechanize those stator actions and drive them from the rotor axis.
Odds are the energy will not be enough to perpetuate the action.That's not a skeptical veiw. The way to get those things to work is to put electro magnets in close proximity and tim
