@jonisen96 Thanks, it's Canon 5D Mk II with 24-105 mm lens, I was using 30 f/s NTSC (NDF) to film this and I think that's why it was out of sync towards the end. Since the firmware update, I've been using 30 f/s (NF), and it seems to sync up pretty well now. ;)

@EmilioAndSherry Sorry but I did not mic the piano at all, as I do not own an acoustic piano. I was playing it on my Clavinova and using the 'Steinway Piano' sound setting in Apple's Logic Pro. I do love that preset, I think I've used the same preset on 95% of all the videos I uploaded here, hope it's helpful. ;)

Nice solid cover but I was laughing like crazy watching this video. At one point, it honestly looked like the two faces were going to kiss each other, and the way he jerks his head was truly comical. Awesome job ! A completely original take on the song . I've never heard anyone sing with your vibe . Beautifully done and great piano playing . Seems like you have a shape ear for music. I wanted to keep this interpretation in line with the song's lyrics, hence I tired to keep everything as organic as possible. This is a very beautifully written song, and I think it sounds its best when it's done with just a very simple arrangement and no heavy production. I appreciate it a lot, your one comment made it all worthwhile.

It's the AKG SolidTube, it's a great mic, warm classic tube sound with very low noise and at an affordable price, especially if you get one second hand, I highly recommend it! And I don't work for AKG BTW. ;)

Many thanks for doing this very very good performance of the earth song. i think its the best song that you have done mainly due to the way you have done the backing and made it sound as if there where lot more of you playing. it sounds that it was hard to make but i bet you had lots of fun making it many thanks Alan

Thanks mate. The basic video was quite straight forward but the backing overdubs took a long time; some were 10 parts at places. The rhythm section was actually me stamping on an old suitcase and clapping (many times) to give it a church gospel feel. ;) Unfortunately, the audio seems to be out of sync after being processed by Youtube, as with the last few videos that I uploaded, which is quite frustrating!

Princess, this is one of Michael's most beautiful songs. Many people don't know that side of him -- he gave a lot to charity and wrote beautiful, slower songs. You should also check out Keep the Faith, Speechless, Heal the World and You Are Not Alone, to name just a few.
