I believe I read online that his connection/higher being powers are explained/explored more fully in the novels/manga. the old ceo of CN from our childhood understood the gold mine of anie, bringing in an a different stly and customer, aftr he left the currerent ceo publicly stated his dislike of anime as a whole, and then the anime slowing left, tenchi was allowed to reair before, then it was outright cancelled, naruto never aired it's last eps, gundam 0079 was cancelled before even finishing it's 1st run, they gave us adult swim because the rating dippited so bad, and they give us select stuff just to appease

Yeah, Tenchi Muyo Ryo-ohki was the OVA version aka first....Tenchi universe was the second adaptation for japan TV, then the epic fail of Tenchi in Tokyo was the third tv series. There is another series they call it Tenchi Muyo Ryo-Ohki OVA 3 that was release a few years ago. They tried to play on the original OVA but kinda failed at it. Guess they wanted to do an Eva feel to it.

Originally an OVA (direct to video) anime called Tenchi! Rhyo-oki! It was 20 episodes long and came in three series, OVA 1 (6 episodes) 1993, OVA 2 (8 episodes) 1995 and OVA 3 (6 episodes) 2003.
Tenchi Universe (what we're watching) was created for television and is based on OVA 1. It drops alot of the sex and violence in exchange for comedy, but it's still good.
that was in Tenchi Muyo! Ryo-Ohki, think of each series as an alternate reality, i used to be just as confused until i just remembered the multiverse from dc/marvel comics. it made more sense that way
Each of the tenchi archs are in a sepreate version of reality created by lady tokime (forgot how to spell her name) with the exceptions of Ryo-Ohki and Gxp which happen in the same universal reality.

Yes this is another one. This is tenchi Universe. Then there is also tenchi in Tokyo which is yet another story arc

this is defnitely the best version of tenchi. OVA woulda been my favorite if they actually had a conclusion that was not that crappy one released a few years ago. different ryoko VA? ridiculous.

"That Crappy One" was the actual Conclusion to the OVA series. As for the different Ryoko VA that's cause the original VA retired.

Yeah, Tenchi Muyo Ryo-ohki was the OVA version aka first....Tenchi universe was the second adaptation for japan TV, then the epic fail of Tenchi in Tokyo was the third tv series. There is another series they call it Tenchi Muyo Ryo-Ohki OVA 3 that was release a few years ago. They tried to play on the original OVA but kinda failed at it. Guess they wanted to do an Eva feel to it.

hold on i thought the first time tenchi saw ryoko (sorry dont know how to spell here name) is when she was the big moster skeleton in the cave that tenchi was forbidin to open and i thought tenchi's grandpa knew ryoko

(This confused me for a while, but hey)
Originally an OVA (direct to video) anime called Tenchi! Rhyo-oki! It was 20 episodes long and came in three series, OVA 1 (6 episodes) 1993, OVA 2 (8 episodes) 1995 and OVA 3 (6 episodes) 2003.
Tenchi Universe (what we're watching) was created for television and is based on OVA 1. It drops alot of the sex and violence in exchange for comedy, but it's still good.

that was in Tenchi Muyo! Ryo-Ohki, think of each series as an alternate reality, i used to be just as confused until i just remembered the multiverse from dc/marvel comics. it made more sense that way

Each of the tenchi archs are in a sepreate version of reality created by lady tokime (forgot how to spell her name) with the exceptions of Ryo-Ohki and Gxp which happen in the same universal reality.

Me too, I was about 10 when they showed it on cartoon network. I enjoyed it then because I didnt really understand it, now Ive watched the 20 Ryo-ohki episodes on here, I feel angry and confused :(
