  • Thanks!

  • monkey,kong,kash-real name is-aut de chat!

  • dude that's a monkey vault -_-

  • thats not how to kong vault.. your legs aren't supposed to go through your arms your arms should come up with them

  • the only way i learn is to record all my moves and learn from my mistakes

  • i do the punch off technique for the kong and I can go farther then that

  • he's a lefty ^^

  • yeah i still do that but im ttalking about a kong to precision (or monkey to precision ) but you get my point but thanks for the tips =)

  • i do that but i seem to lose momentum =/

  • lmfao you had to practise to do that ahaha fucking brutal

  • dude u don't know how to do kong...

    that's just monkey...

    amateur -.-

  • That is kong you're the ameteur-.-. He jumped before placing hands on it

  • No, its a kong vault.

  • @mynameisjonas45 No, this is patrick.

  • I can do this split foot take off at medium sized rails (around waist level) how can i get enough momentum and height to do chest level rails? any tips?

  • This actually helped me develop the split-foot technique because I found it extremely hard initially as well as the actual dive into a kong vault so superb video!

  • i feel uncomfortable doing a kong unless i use 2 feet. are there anyways to increase distance while using 2 feet

  • No intro's no nothing, getting straight to business. That's why I love Demon's videos, not to mention he's a great traceur.

  • i vault with 2 feet is that bad?

  • yes is bad ....because that doesn't give the power to go far....two you must only use in the monkey vault... :) I had the same problem

  • so how do i fix it?

  • You must the instructions from the video.....those steps are for more powerful kong vault...so get out and practice!!!

    :) :)

  • well the 2 footed take off is good if your trying to clear a high obstacle, but other than that go with the split foot, it keeps up your momentum flowing

  • 2 feet is good when vaulting high objects, like at neck-chest level. One foot is better for longer kongs, so you should learn both

  • i learned both but my landings suck like the moment i hit the ground i stall instead of runing and i dont know how to fix it

  • I think you are landing with two feet, try landing with one foot

  • i do but my legs always pause i dont no why they do

  • Maybe you can post a video. Thats weird though, becuase at that point its almost like a regular landing. I guess just practice because I think it is just a mental thing.

  • You should still be leaning a bit forwards when you land.

  • thats probably it i always lean a slight bit backward to try to push my legs harder

  • For all his technical advice on the third one he loses a LOT of speed o.0

  • u still have a delay just before u perform the vault...u still have 2 improve..no offence :) we all have

  • alot of people say when they see someone do a kong they say thats easy but end up doing it wrong lol

  • @knewone08 i knw

  • i love this vid man, you can really see the arms pulling you forward

  • Awesome, gonna try this asap. looks way better then the 2-foot blocking take-off aswell.

  • this vid helped me more than everything to understand and perform kong vault...Yep i did it!!!

  • Nice ! just like my tecn ... : D :D

  • title says "steps to a more powerful kong vault" nothing said about kong vault itself, read sometimes, before crying around :)

  • nice shoes

  • Great advice this tech is known as the split leg take off for far distance if im not mistaken... AND a double launch is for higher objects right?

  • yup thats right

  • lol i think i still need some help

so this technique is for more overall distance. what is the double launch?

  • where an object is kinda high and you bounce on both legs before attempting it... if that makes sense

  • No it isn't....its just a small surface.

  • No, dice was right... by definition, this is a Monkey Vault. Hands made contact before his feet left the ground.

I'll also say that the names of the movement are irrelevant. The only thing that matters when doing this vault is that you know how to do it, and do it correctly.

It's a good tutorial and from a good teacher, as well. Technical errors in the title shouldn't be an issue in watching this one.

Train hard, guys. Always be better than you were the day before.

    Peace,

    -M

  • if you want to be technical its a catpass. so seriously dude. who cares.

a monkey and a kong are the same thing. it has nothing to do with surfaces are hand placement. if your legs pass between your arms in that manner it is the same thing performed slightly differently.

  • monekys and kongs aren't the same thing.. when you do the monkey you place your hands on the object before you jump.. but when you do a kong you jump and place your hand afterwards.. and your legs don't pass between your legs you just push with your arms before the legs go over the obstacle

  • i mean your legs don't pass between your arms :D

  • guth you are right when you say for hands but basicly it is same technique.

look what you say for lags funny haha

"and your legs don't pass between your legs"

monkey and kong is same thing.

  • @MANIAC119833 hands made contact after he left the ground....

  • @kboy3141 Agreed, you can clearly see that in slowmo.

  • Thanks for the tut. It's helped me immensely.

  • i started doing kong vaults just doing the actual vault off a small table into a pool. cuz then it dosent matter if you fuck the landing. then just go for broke and take the risk of smashing your face

  • Nice.

  • nice shoes

  • Thank you for uploading!

  • I don't think that is really true

  • this looks good my kongs are lacking a bit of power il give this a go u seem to have alot of good comments so il trust u lol

  • nice job

    easy-learning for beginners

  • i have a question:

Can u do kong by taking of with one leg or two legs, does it still counts as a kong then?

    Nice tutorial ^^

  • take off on both legs. but if going for distance just incorporate the jump into your stride/

  • if you go for height, take off 2 footed.

if you go for speed and distance, take off split footed

  • don't worry so much about what it counts as. Remember, everyone has their own way of moving.

  • thanks a lot you have the best tutorial for the kong vault ;)

  • The key is also kicking the opposite leg to the one that is taking off the ground up, so you get your legs higher for more distance from the moment you place your hands to the landing.

  • could someone help me plz?

i need help getin my legs through my arms, i could used to do it but ive lost confidence... Wb on my account comments if u can :) thanks

  • do it on small objects first and lean forward, if you dont..

  • ...you get clipped

  • where a bike helmet and practice? find a gym? not sure bro, Im still trying to come over the initial fear of learning kongs.

  • I used this method and my kongs, are more powerfull. This is great! THANKS

  • I finished my video if you want to see it.

  • I used this method and now I can kong vault over my car. Not a kash, a full kong :)

  • Thanks, I'll try that. I always chop my steps when I am approaching an object to kong
