OMG! you inspired me to get into analog synth's your videos are incredible, what is the cheapest analog synth for someone looking to get into this stuff?
It just generates a delay between voltage changes... it is basically the same thing as portamento. Abrupt changes in control voltages become increasingly gradual as you increase the level of it.
Is the 2600 monophonic??

The one being demonstrated is. Later versions came with a keyboard which allowed duophony.

Doesn't the split-voice keyboard for the 2600 (the 3620) include an LFO built in?

Yes!
AutomaticGainsay 3 years ago
Could you ever do a video on the 3620's features?
eddievhfan1984 3 years ago
I would love to... except that I don't have one!

The Alesis Micron is quite nice!

If you're too lazy to create sounds and would rather just play boring presets, then yes, it is nice.

If you're used to digital synths and their polyphony, going straight into monophony can feel limiting.
I'd say, go for either the Juno 6 or Korg Polysix, preferably the Polysix, but the Juno is earier to get a hold of.

At about 5:30-32, you were getting brass sounds out of a square wave. Funky.

I'm unclear on what the "lag processor" is, or did I space out when you explained it?

That first method you demonstrated was something I'd never thought of. Just shows you're never too old to learn something new. Thanks!
Keep 'em coming!
