  • so please post your cooking tips at "whatever.com" lol

  • Can I use a non-alcoholic beer?

  • @givememoore22 You can use any carbonated drink, you can even use mineral water, as long as there is gas in the drink. Gas makes the batter lighter and crispier

  • @givememoore22 u can also but u need a carbonated drink. try soda water

  • im british/pakistani and that just ruins it.

i like fish and chips coz its tasty and gets me away from the spicy shit

now this just defies the point for me.

  • what fish is it?

  • I Love how he eats the food at the end of all his vids. It shows that he really enjoys and is proud of what he creates. :)

  • crisps with fish and chips?

  • You are a wonderfull Chef continue ur career with lots of success

  • 4:16 ha ha ha

  • Thanks for posting. No more Long John Silver's for me anymore :)

I think instead of tartar sauce, malt vinegar is also good too.

  • @1:00 WTF does "add Flat" mean?

  • hi guys, anyonecan tellme what is the best recipe for making batter for frying chips??thanks

  • You don't use batter for chips: cut to size, soak to remove excess starch then dry thoroughly before frying.

If you mean oil: I use 1/2 lard and 1/2 beef dripping.

You can probably use coconut oil, palm kernel oil, peanut oil or ghee as these do not degrade at high temperatures but may taste strange (ex peanut).

Saturated fat = good; pufa = bad (produced as deodorised, rancid oil; oxidises ldl)

  • The best fish batter is made with stout (e.g. Guinness) rather than beer (2nd best).

    UK chips = US fries.

    UK crisps = US chips.

Personally I like fish, chips and curry: simply pour some curry sauce over fish & chips (fries).

  • mmm

  • Stout is best for fish batter and onion rings.

By the way, to amend your translation guide and further confuse"

US crisps = Pringles brand chips

  • I like it with cocktail sauce imo.

  • ill be moving to the uk soon, i cant wait to get me some fish and chips.

  • what type of fish did you use?

  • you can use any popular types of fish, salmon, tilapia, etc..

  • You're a genius... You need your own show on prime time TV

  • Love the batter, REALLY love the patter - especially the beer-for-chef perks :-)

    Just perfect!

  • Wow! This guy's really smart about his cooking. Chips instead of "chips" because it saves time, and microwave onions and cucumbers in vinegar for "pickles".

  • please show us how to make the tomato and cucumber rose!!!!!! Please, its small, but really impressive as a salad garnish.

  • man! this looks great!!!

this is the funniest cook ever!!!

the beer sipping tip is priceless!!!!!

    love all the videos!!!

  • that looks soooo fucking good

  • can you use salmon?

  • This Vahchef make me so starving every time....ha ha......Thank u Vahchef~~~best regard from Korean guy...

  • Looks realy tasty

  • What fish have you used?

  • it looks like snapper.

  • As a very English Brit', I have to say that this recipe worked out better then any other that I have tried.

I did go a bit more traditional on the tartar sauce, and went for roast potato wedges (to get the crispy on the outside, light on the inside theme), but it's the batter that makes this special.

    Top marks.

  • vah reh vah! take the beer in sips and sips, i do the same when cooking. You cook with great passion and eat with passion, i love it! Keep it up!

  • i love your voice its funny

  • Love when you eat the food at the end. So many chefs don't do this and it's like not telling the punchline of a joke after telling the entire story! You're a lot of fun... keep it up my friend!!

  • Awesome! Love Sanjay, not afraid to be himself! Just the way it should be!

  • Great Job Vahchef!!

  • Whatever you do, don't stop eating your food at the end. You are so passionate about food, it really adds to the recipe! Thanks for sharing another great dish.

  • @fattmatt66 Given how much weight he's put on over the last couple of years I'm not sure about this comment.

  • Add malt vinegar on the side and you have a winner. Save the tartar sauce for the women...

    Another delicious dish, Sanjay! Thanks!

  • is it alright if we blend the mock tartar sauce?

  • i would need like twelve of those toasts! And four fillets. And a half cup of the sauce.

And that mock sauce looked very adequate. I think i would like it.

  • WoW, your batter came out to be better than some of the ready-made package batter from the asian market. It looks soo good that i'm making that tomorrow. Thanks
