  • "Three blanket men" hahahaaa .... terrorist thugs living in their own shit - i suppose if that's what their used to ..... :))

Btw, all that graffiti is unsightly.

  • he's a tout

  • irish are so dumb

  • @shithead2415 fuck off yee crazy cunt

  • Up a ra

  • 3:50 onwards shows what I think is the the international wall, can anyone tell me on what specific street that is as I would love to go there??

  • @Gavinkeenan1 falls u spastic u don't wanna go there its full of terrorists

  • @rhaurirocks that's kind of harsh.

  • THis was very educational and interesting though it kept stopping ! I don't know why, still this was very good, I liked it.

  • @josparkes1 When video keeps stopping put it on pause for at least a minute and then lift the pause and it should then run good for you

  • These murals are amazing. Some talented artists

  • Cool video. Always nice to see a bit of Norn Iron.

  • There is amnesty to those who committed terrorism before good Friday agreement.

  • Man: ''Right ladies''

Ladies: ''whya fuk he hava camera pointing a ma, perv!''

  • provo

  • Pretty cool stuff. I think it's such a pitty that art like this is so attacked on other places in the world. People should be allowed to paint on houses if the community wants it there. This isn't trash graffiti and it should stay. The only real pitty is that it's mostly about the war but then again the war or rebellion was such a large part of these peoples lives.

  • live by the sword, you will die by the sword. to all the combatants on both sides, fuck em.

  • Top man. Tiocfaidh ar la

  • Why do people never show both sides of the community? It's always one or the other

  • @2491cc Point taken. I happened to be in the Falls Road area and bumped into the Lord Mayor. We will be filming on the other side soon!

    Matthias

  • @2491cc its probably not very safe to do that for them, of whichever side

  • @dbpgh Of course it's safe. This isn't a third world country. It's certainly much safer here than the US.

  • What community are you talking about? there isnt "a" community there, sorry. But is NI safer than the US? Yes, if you stay where you belong and keep quiet. But let things happen there and you will have ethinic warfare on the scales of rwanda or serbia.

  • @dbpgh You are obviously out of touch. Only in the roughest areas of Belfast or Derry would that apply. Anywhere else in the country, its safe to express any opinion. I live in a town where both sides get along fine, and no one is scared to show their opinion. As for civil war on the scale of rwanda or serbia, i think thats just ludacris.

  • @2491cc Sorry, what country are we talking about?

  • @dbpgh Northern Ireland. I know it's not a country, rather one region of a country, but it is commonly refered to by locals as a 'country', though not accurate.

  • @2491cc UHM. clearly our problem is easy to diagnose. I was correct in asserting that it is not a community. Obviously there is no in between. you are not part of that region. FYI, eng is doing the right thing, gradually removing themselves from the Country of Ire.

  • Comment removed

  • @dbpgh How is there no community? The vast majority of people get along fine. People are just people, and don't generally have an opinion. Only those with strongest opinions stand out, and those are the people who have the loudest voice, unfortunatly. And fyi, i am from Northern Ireland. What makes you assume i'm not?

  • @2491cc ok. i enjoy my time with you. Yes, besides extremists, everyone else is cool.

  • @2491cc but you should know, that it is the extreme sides that move the world. the people mixing in between will pull to their own sides when the time comes.Do you know much about the Holocuast? Look into it. NI is not and will never be a community nor a viable country. you have one side marching for a few months every year to show their dominance, right? please dont say it is a cultural thing. how can you say you have a communitity with something like this? impossible.

  • @dbpgh Whethere you think so or not, there IS indeed community here. Please go away.

  • @2491cc dont tell me what to do. if you have a problem you can ignore my posts and go away yourself. you can do and say what you want, NI is a time bomb waiting for the right spark.

  • @2491cc You should've just ignored dbpgh, he's obviously an intentional retard.

  • @2491cc Yep i think its just the way it is.

  • That's 'the tree terrorists shot dead', don't try and water down what they were up to by calling them volunteers. .

  • @BigDuke6ixx They were 3 unarmed British citizens too my friend. You don´t hold much faith in the British justice system then do you.

  • @Bighairyjoesph fuch 'em. They were on what the would call 'active service' engaged in what they would call a 'war' against the duly and democratically elected British Government. They got what was coming to them.

  • @BigDuke6ixx An advocate of state execution? That´s very civilized of you.

  • @Bighairyjoesph, no, I'm an advocate of the British Army defending Britain and British subjects from terrorists. If you run around with illegal guns and deadly explosive devices you can expect to get shot at and possibly killed by the security forces of the UK.

  • notice how the ira murals are untouched while others have spratpaint on them.

  • Its called respect

  • i dont think people in NI have very much respect for each other judging by some of the shit dat goes on here. its not respect its fear. if ur caught ur gettin shot.

  • Shot? the RA decommissioned. And have you ever been on the falls? Pratically everyone respects and honours the IRA. Why else would this former volunteer be voted for?

  • dont be fucking stupid everyone knows the ira have no decommissioned. they shot soldiers last year. and there still blowing fucking bombs up in belfast. decommissioned?? youve been under a rock for the last 20years m8.

  • None of the murals commemorate the Continuity or Real IRA, they're mostly Provo murals, the Provo's have decommissioned.

Your not from around here boy, are you?

  • @TheLargeJesus Haha!! Boy! No m8 im nt why?

  • @AaRoNwFoRd You don't get shot for writing on murals, this place isn't as wild as people think, it would be ignorant to comment on the situation unless you've lived in it.

    Yeahhhhhhhhh!! Boyyyyyyyyyyy!

  • @TheLargeJesus i live in belfast nd ur tellin me i dnt know wat its like!! i dont live in a catholic area but a proddy one so dnt call me ignorant or BOY!!! lol fs

  • @AaRoNwFoRd ya don't know what it's like living in a catholic area, the paramilitaries have very little say in our areas these days, i know it's not the same in protestant areas.

  • @AaRoNwFoRd Its not as bad as it used to be, still exists in some areas i suppose, but i think a lot of people in the younger generation like myself would rather forget about the past and move on, there so much more out there than violence and petty conflicts over religion which have existed for 100s of years.

  • its called a midden,,,,dirty gypsies give then houses and they turn them into middens,,,,child murdering scum

  • Comment removed

  • yup ta ra

  • r u a hun by any chance ya eejit?

  • no.i leave being a hun to your german dirty child molesting pope

  • you know thats a lie. i drove up and down that street today and saw not of what you describe. junkies/beggars?? your just a total lie monger.

  • to be honest this video disgusts me. the mural remembering the 3 terrorists executed in Gibraltar. it doesn't point out that these men were plotting to murder and maime scores of innocent people. if the SAS played by the IRA's rules (or lack thereof) all the time, there would have been no IRA. too close to home with the media, political correctness and public scrutiny. if only people new how much life the sas destroy in the middle east. but they have to.. right? well maybe not.

  • WELL SAID MATE

  • Britains war machine out of Ireland

  • "britains war machine", you talk about it like britain is an invading force!, completely disregarding that the vast majority of this country are unionists and support the british presence here. "britains war machine" where did you even hear that one?

  • Comment removed

  • He has a PHD and honours from queens university and is a historian. Also and most importantly the people of Belfast voted him.

  • @martinforker i would ask the same of the first minister deputy minister and finance minister . but its really because the retard special needs public in this country is only capable of voting dup or sf

  • 2:21 I Was Watchin Him Doin That interveiw From My House Lol

  • all looks very gloomy to me. isn't it just propaganda to try to keep people feeling hard down by? surely folk don't need constantly reminded how crap life was. learn from the past sure, but move on and cheer up republican belfast (whether its wrong or right - no one else really cares)

  • comments like this annoy me

  • (Y)

  • whats the ireland catalonia muriel about??

  • Murals not muriels. I presume it's about self-determination for Catalonia?

  • Brothers In Arms Its Like Catholics Want N.I Not Under British Rule Just Like Catalonians Dont Want 2 Be Under Spanish Rule

  • about the child murderers of the ira

  • @munichlegends Ireland and Catolonia I think :P

  • I never said I didn't know anything about 1690. I wasn't actually talking about myself. If a foreigner asks me something about history or culture and it means something to me, I don't mind calmly explaining what it is. I don't feel threatened by a question or assume the worst in in someone. Pokertom42191 didn't actually make any comment about it, good bad or indifferent, so not sure who you mean!

  • Desert regions? haha don't think so! Ireland is in NW Europe!! Yes, there was a famine despite there being lots of food and very fertile soil. If you deny people access to food there is a famine...

  • Wouldn't that be a starvation?

  • Yes, it was a starvation. In Ireland, it's often called the 'Great Hunger' but the name 'Famine' is also used too.

  • it wasnt a famine, it was genocide.

  • i wonder what Scotland would do if it was cut in half,or england?

  • Great video - wonderful to see Belfast again after many years away - loved the bit where he says that the mural "needs a wee bit touched up" - shows a great respect for the "alternative" art of the time. Seems like a good man. Would love to know if here`s a mural to Brendan Behan.

  • you idiot ...read some history !

  • History lesson: Wasn't the potatoe introduced to Ireland when it was brought back to britain from the americas.

What did the irish live on before the potatoe and the potatoe blight (potatoe blight is NOT a famine).

You see, the british were exporting the grains and meats and fish from this isle to feed mainland britain and the irish were only allowed to eat potatoes ergo when the potatoes got blighted the irish were forced to go to the colonies or starve.

    What famine?

  • Are you an idiot? Firstly it's "potato" ... Secondly, "what famine"? Idiotic. Simply idiotic.

  • spot on, it was genocide.

  • loyalist hear and you speak sense, both sides must learn to love but fight at the weekend.

  • thats my old house at 0;43....cool lol

  • listen its disgracful that murderers like the 1 who killed an innocent catholic man and a innocent protestant women and people liek him IRA terrorists in goverment

  • lord mayor of belfast, where are the murals of innocent people killed by his people

  • theres a lot more to be worrying about in the goverment and do you know theres even a stash room in the commons ???

  • Well done Tom in illustrating those murals so well.

I also watched with interest your appearance on BBC newsline, the article on the library on the Falls.

You should also be applauded for your post as Lord Mayor of Belfast.

    Slainte

  • Gerry Adams ex body guard. Not as soft as he looks

  • lives in the past !! 1690 ring a bell to you lot ...

  • LMAO I Live Here

  • the republican community live in the past? Is it hard to forget your friends and family getting murdered.

  • Spoken like a true neutral!

  • And the Orangemen march to commemorate what? Something that happened in the 1690.....

  • the answer to that is the battle of the boyne in which king billy was triumphant. and they have everyright to march on the glorious 12th ya fenain wee bastard!

  • why did u comment or even watch this video when it clearly states 'falls road' if your from the east?

  • bcos of idiots who dont know what the fuck theyre talking about that why.

  • well, I don't see any comments on here saying anything against aspects of 1690, do you?

  • pokertom42191 seems to just be an American asking an innocent question. He/she mightn't know anything about 1690 and it's a valid question. I don't think just asking a question makes him/her a "fenian wee bastard". Why the siege mentality all the time? Why not just calmly educate others about your culture?

  • commemoration is a mask. It is a sectarian march by loyalists, in which the only people to take part are the scum of society, who probably dont even know why they are marching but do so because they want to piss of nationalists and republicans and get pissed.

  • Tom should have been a history teacher

  • This stands against the work that has been done in northern ireland for peace, just like the recent murders by those from the same background portrayed in the video, you tube should be more responsible by not letting this crap onto their sites (I understand it's hard to police). We as people need to move on with our lifes not have sensless dirt like this threw in our faces at every corner....

  • Time to move on TBH.

  • all these ugly murals celebrating an ugly history.

    Time to move on

  • Mate its hardly an "ugly history" and if you think the murals are "ugly" you need your eyes checked out, Your either a west-brit or some yuppie who has no political or cultural beliefs am i right? - And i dont mean that in an offensive way. I'm sorry stop swinging your bollix in peoples face because you want to move on, try living on one side of the many peace-walls here mate.. interface areas the like.. "Time to move on" go about 20-30 years into the future - sorry to burst your bubble.

  • Sorry, I only speak English..........

  • I speak english too or cant you read my friend? Oh im sorry you are a Brit.

  • My wife is a native of Eire I'll have you know, but she's not got a chip on her shoulder. Life's too short.

  • She might be a native of Eire, but many, many people are. But she (and i know im pre-judging) did not lose members of her family to state-violence, to loyalist death squads - or vice versa to the Provos, and did she live in a working-class area? Or did she grow up with a cotton wool up-bringing in a bubble and experienced ZILCH of the conflict/troubles? It depends where you grow up and your surroundings that shape you later in life.. i dont harbor grudges or "chips" i just wont forget the past.

  • Sounds like a right tramp.

  • Your wife is a native or Eire.

Does she tolerate your typical English humour?

  • She finds it hilarious

  • they don't speak English in Bradford, Birmingham etc

Its ALLAH AKHBAR ya dirty pissy brit

  • Ah! play the nasty racist card, cos your sort have not moved on have you? Throw off your chips and join most of the rest of the people of Ireland

  • These murals aren't about retaining a chip on one's shoulder. It's part of history, like the Berlin Wall.

  • I really enjoyed my trip to Belfast!
