i was checking out the movie rivers of the lost coast based in california i was amazed to see pics of steelhead caught on the smith huge fish in the 1950s and 1960s on old school glass fly rods single handers. do u get more water now?is thats why its hard to fly fish now a days? anyways would like to get down there from alaska in the winter . awesome looking river.
it dont look like there is any fly fishing guides on the smith looked on line they all seem to be hardware guys. is there any fly fishing guides on the smith? nice vid and beutiful steelhead
Not really anybody who specializes on fly fishing the Smith. It's a tough river to fish with the long rod. Check with the guides in the video, they do run some fly trips.
i thought you can't use double hooks????...especially with barb hooks??....you guys are cheaters..only barbless hook is aloud on the smith.
