  • Thank you for the reply, snobar, we have tried q-tips and vinegar, q-tips and bleach, and scrub-scrub-scrub, as well as soaking it overnight in vinegar and then bleach. We even tried boiling it and putting it in the freezer, as well as simple dish soap. The mold does not come off from under the seal in the cap. We are desperate! We love the bottle, but cannot use it!

  • @sasuva1 - I seem to recall that there's a clear gasket (rubber ring) around the inside, where the steel lip of the bottle presses against the lid. I would suggest using the pointy end of a bamboo skewer to try and pry it out, then scrub like nobody's business again.

  • I have MOLD on the inside cap of my water bottle, and Flylady said that because I was 2 months out of warranty, they could do nothing. My friends is EXACTLY the same way!

  • @sasuva1 - use White vinegar and a q-tip, and scrub the bejeebus out of it. Alternatively, you can wash the cap on the top shelf of the dishwasher. The bottle can be scrubbed out with the rubba bottle scrubba.

  • I was looking for a better video than Flylady's but yours still is hard to see. Thanks anyway.
