I wouldn't change who I am for the world, but I just wish I felt like I could relate to whites and Asians as they do to each other. Whites for the most part are too rowdy...too out there... while Asians are too...introverted. Ok I know I'm being VERY general lol but it's how things generally are here. ANYWAY lol... I'm so tired of people trying to "figure out" what I am. I've gotten spanish, italian, mexican even... rarely do people fully guess. More importantly...why do they even need to

Hmmm As for my experiences, it depends. From when I was very young, I got constant compliments on my appearance. I have wavier hair and my eyes, although slightly more angular than a European, lean more towards the white side. However, I also felt very out of place. I could never associate with whites or Asians in my area because...hmm... I don't know... I didn't feel right with either group. Oddly enough I hung around a lot of hispanics and blacks because they were much more accepting.

I'm not really hapa (I'm black and indian) but people get jealous of my long hair! I'm about 1/16th asian, so that's pretty distant. Asians are known to have such beautiful hair (especially Indians in my case) so yes. Hopefully you agree! :D

SO TRUE ABOUT THE RICE COOKERS. It never computes with me that there are people in my country (the US) that don't have them... BUT ANYWAY. Positive thing about being hapa - Exotic sexiness, yes!!! Kind of awkward to say, but both my white family members and my Filipino family members say that I look "exotic" a lot... They mean it as a positive thing. XD So I guess sometimes, being hapa is also about perspective: Instead of thinking "I look odd," think "I look amazazingu~!"

Not trying to be negative but just feel like I have to say that everyone I know (me included) pronounce hapa differently than you ._. I've always said it like hah-pa...now I'm really curious what the proper way to say it is. hmm positives really has been mostly physical trait complements. I always grew up with different mixed friends. I guess I'm lucky in that regard.
