yeah i have made some stupid comments on this and i admit that lol and it sounds awesome (except the dodgy chord) so i take back everything ive said and check mine ;)
i dont really play piano.. i do guitar bass and synth.. synth and piano are definitely not the same thing, i dont try and claim to be a classicly trained pianist :P im also almost certain that when they play bliss live the synth is done using an arp, so its true to their performance
yeah thats live but in recording it was matt playing it and its the recording that counts, what you are play ing sounds great dont get me wrong but i just think theres not much skill involved
yeah it was, they recorded loads of bits and then stuck them together, live it is morgan that controls it on synth but recording it was matt, everything in their songs is recorded by them and not shitty machines doing all the work
as if its that hard to play on the piano, douchebag, its a synthesizer not a piano, dildoface. Besies he probably designed that sound on the synthesizer, which requires skill.
use the arpeggiator, 3 octaves range... try using sawtooth oscillators with a little delay.. uhh.. trying to remember.. i sold my microkorg a while back.
yeh, just use the arp up+down mode (AT1?) on 3 octaves, set it so it latches the chords and just play the chords. try and start off on a preset that sounds similar and tweak that.
tbh this is almost a year old and everyone keeps telling me what i already know... so please stop repeating what other people have said, i have already said inside of these comments that a) i know i play it wrong in the video and b) i know how to play it right now... so THREECHORDSANDIWIN LOL.
if you watch muse play this song live when they FIRST started out, ( there is a vid on here somewhere ) matthew james belamy pretty much does the same, he doesnt play every note despite what most people thinks, he does what this guy did so just for that 5/5 well done
yeh, he also plays it about 4 times the speed, hahaha :D its quite amusing if you watch the bizzare festival footage of the first time they ever played it... sounds so wrong.
pretty much all synths have an arpeggiator, which is what you need to do stuff like this.
this one is a microkorg.. by korg. its relatively cheap, but now im just using a software synthesiser and a midi controller.. far more versatile and better in my opinion
Done!. Thanks a lot... I'll need to manage myself to achieve a most accurate sound but I'm starting to understand many things about this "little toy" we call MicroKorg. I promise to record myself giving you a video response to this thread as soon as possible.
yes, with cheap synths like this one you just tweak the arpeggiators, but with more expensive ones you can program entire sequences, that rocks. such synths as access' virus let you do this i /think/, theyre very expensive though.
Yeah dude we are actually using the microkorg, if you could tell me what numerical values you are using i would be eternally grateful, thanks dude! You are a proper legend!
MICROKORG RULZ!!! I really want to get one..IT's the perfect Synth for the beach...(by the way...the third chord...it should be a F minor. and in the chorus part it should be a E minor (in the second part) apart from that.. QUITE a GREAT VIDEO!!! I really love the MICRKORG

Ok, i have a simple old keyboard without an apprregiator.
are the notes C, Db, G going up three octaves then down two?
This process repeated with Bb, D, F and then a low octave F, Ab, C.
Thats what i've gotten so far... is it right?
Unfortunatly there arent any videos explaining how to play it without an appregiator (sp?).

cactusgrant 4 years ago
shut the fuck up it is a decent synth, if you look at artists who use it how can it not to be decent you TWAT
lancsno1 5 years ago
Cheater. Play without a sodding arpegiator. You have chords mixed up from that.
And use a decent synth also.
serfox1 5 years ago
i cant afford a decent synth, and i cant play it without an arpeggiator on here, because:
a)i have a pretty hard time playing the thing on a proper weighted keyboard (theres no hope trying to play it on the MK's small, unweighted keys) and
b)im not actually a pianist... if you check out my other videos you'll find im actually a guitarist who dabbles with synth :)
theman362 5 years ago

whats your opinion on this versus the alesis micron
SKalopedStraT 5 years ago
dont know because ive never played the micron. read some reviews i guess.
theman362 5 years ago
Basically the only main difference is this has a mic, and the micron has full-size keys. the micron's also easier to figure out w/o a manual.
zacanger 5 years ago
yes, with cheap synths like this one you just tweak the arpeggiators, but with more expensive ones you can program entire sequences, that rocks. such synths as access' virus let you do this i /think/, theyre very expensive though.
