  • that harp player is very good lol, i feel it forget about hearing it

  • Coming from a cynical asshole, this was a great performance. It lacked the same appeal, but it was pleasing to listen to.

  • sounds good with the harp!

  • i wanna ranble...till the break of day!

    thanks @band. 3yrs after.

  • yes!!!!!!!!!

  • nice, very nice... a great tribute to all those that brought this song to attention over the years...

  • Great job!

  • Very tidy

  • Nice harp playing! R.B

  • Nice harp playing! R.B

  • are you a retard

  • No and you?

  • Which harp key brother???...Aussie fan here needin help....thanks.

  • I think he's playing a C harp. They're playing in G. I think.

  • This aint muddy waters

  • listen LA MAGIA DEL SAX by Minicillo

  • Bom trabalho camaradas !!

  • geez--you guys are the real deal. So, like why don'tcha post the names of your group/band. Do you guys ever come to NYC? You are all good, but that harp player..he just knocked my socks off.....

  • Nice job. I like the Lightnin' Hopkins version better than Muddy's version.

  • Muddy Waters or not ... great job !

  • This is a song written by Big Joe Williams in 1935 or so Muddy Waters has nothing to do with the song other than to cover it like many other artists.

  • Thank you for that , I really do appreciate it ... We do a version inspired by Muddy's and although I would love to be more educated about it ... If you look back at any of the old blues songs you can trace them way further back than 1935 , youll only find the first date it was first recorded ... not the true writer of the song as many of these were passed from grandad to grandad ... Unfortunately Im not a historian ... Not that Im not curious about it but I hear alot of songs ...

  • Id like to further note that Ive never seen the song on any jacket by Muddy credited to Big Joe Williams ... although I believe you . the best that I can do is credit it to people who I get it from and hope that people investigate when they get to that artist ... So again I appreciate your input ... Its funny though , this song is one that Ive turned to my band and asked several times right on stage ... Who really wrote this song anyways ? ... Now I know ... Thanks again

  • Ive also heard the Big Joe version 100 times ... and its great , I guess I just didnt place that one in historical order ... probably because so many people have done it ... Big Bills version is fantastic as well ... Fred MacDowells is great also ...

  • @therhythmfour For your information it was indeed RECORDED first by Big Joe. However. It is a track that goes far, far, far further back than that. It was originally a song from West African tradition called "Fallani Battaro" or something along those lines. (I have no idea how it's spelled, only heard it spoken.)

Anyways, you've got a great band going. Love everything you do.

The only thing missing to get you to the original is atiny bit more intensity/nerve, if you know what I mean?

  • @therhythmfour you are right. very good music

  • @therhythmfour AC/DC credit their cover of it to J Williams 1944 as I remember. Its a version Ilike very much, though not to everyones taste

  • great job guys! you just dont see this stuff anymore..unfortunatly

  • This isn't a Muddy Water's song. He may have covered it, but give credit where credit is due.

  • Nobody calls Ring of Fire a June Carter song either. Relax, we know its a Big Joe Williams song.

  • Nobody is uptight about it, either, just pointing out facts. You should relax in your responses.

  • Well relaxed and just pionting out a fact myself dumbass.

  • Canada sucks, and so do you, Mr. Internet Tough Guy.

  • Nice cover guys!

  • just watched some of your work and I have to say, that blues thing that every blues man is trying to get ! well you lads have got it by the bucket load!!

  • yeah yeah yeah, i like it :)

  • wow thats so good. im speach less

  • WOW, LUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCKYYYY YOU, happ New family dude

  • nice authentic sound guys

  • I have seen quite some Muddy interpretations from all over the world, but this is the absolute real thing!!!

  • WOW!!!!

  • Okay, so where's Muddy?

  • Suspect he's there in spirit. Nice job boys.

  • @notwaiting There is an apostrophe after the s in Waters signifying belonging

  • @MrFlatmint .........like if it was actually a Mr. Waters performance.

  • @notwaiting Well there is always that.So you were either muddying the water or being sarcastic either way ,as I am monumentally stupid, its no shock that the Muddy Waters you were refering to isn't infact there.

However the harmonica player is called Muddy Waters and is legendary in his homeland of Croatia.

The whole thing is just a series of mis-nomas as has been pointed out as it is infact not a Muddy Waters tune,Though obviously he did do it.

    Ok?

  • Bueaaaaaaatyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyfulll! I'ma keep an eye on them from now on!!

  • Good version!!!!!!

  • You guys are great!!! and you ever come to North Carolina, please let me know, again a great job.

  • you guys are great. keep it up!

  • For a second I thought I was listening to Muddy Water's himself! You guys are really good, loved the harmonica.

  • Wonderful recreation of the sound and feel of Muddy's first recordings, bravo!

  • Well, don't get too touchy about it. Use your own name, or the name of your band, or the name of the tune "by you". Like I said, the music is fine. ( Oh, and that's so cool that you've played with Pinetop!)

  • the music is fine, but you should change the name so people searching for muddy waters don't feel like your stealin in on muddy's name. not a good thing to do.

  • Were doin his version, of course which you obviously know is not original ... Apart from my use of apostrophe after his name ... How would you like me to list the song ? ... I'll ask Pinetop next time I play with him ... Noone is tryin to steal anything ... I want people to know where to look if they want to find the roots of the only music i know how to play ...

  • ....what?!?!...this is not Muddy Waters?!?! hehehehehe...btw, "Deaflloc," if I wasn't searching for MW I wouldn't find this...glad I did! U guys are awesome!!!! Thanks for posting!

  • Great sound fellas.

  • So you liked the video ? Im not sure what youre doin ? lecturin me on how to pay tribute and respect to the old blues guys , many of which I have actually played with ? or complimenting me on a video you didnt wanna see so badly that you needed to give me a lecture, BUT STAYED TO WATCH ANYWAYS ... Let see 4 minutes for you to watch it ... 2 to wave your finger at me and 2 for me to respond ... that'sssssss 8 minutes ... man ! you coulda had a V8

  • Man only an idiot would criticize that it was really a good reproduction of the song spot on if you ask me lol. i love it when non musicians get on and criticize musicians they sound so ridiculous lol. Well keep up the good toons

  • so seet

  • Damn fine job boys.

I know Muddy Waters did this but didn't Big Joe Williams write it?

  • it is a big joe williams song.

  • This song is older than Big Joe, it's based on a field holler called Another Man Done Gone.

  • ...JUST like Kessler...Smooth as Silk...

..They make it Look easy...Buts its NOT...

  • Freakin' Killer... dudes I loved it

  • I agree with you completely Roblehrainmain! Blues is about feeling music and has nothing to do with skin pigmentation.

  • I'm black and nothing pisses me off more than some idiot saying something like "not bad at all for whites". I mean what are you trying to accomplish? I look forward to the day when people don't even have to address such issues. Lets just say those guys can play.

  • ahhh man i only wish it will come soon brother.

  • these boys are good :)

  • Not bad at all for whites. Now, seriously, congratulations.

  • Im not white ... but the last time I checked whites could play music quite well too ... some of em can even jump and dance ... I even know this one white guy who eats watermelon ... wild and crazy stuff ... good times ... glad ya liked the music ...

  • Hey I'm white, and once I are chicken with rice....
