I have to disagree, deciding to work hard is also a form of intelligence and the more easily you understand, for example, math or problem solving the higher your grades will be.
Intelligence comes in many forms and shapes and schooling teaches and tests only a few of those, so it doesn't reflect all or even most of your brains capacity, but I do think if someone keeps getting the highest possible scores, its fair to say hes probably quite intelligent

Yes studying is a form of intelligence, as it's choosing to work which will take you further in life. You're definetely right on the second point - alot of people who have intelligence are left in the dust due to the poor schooling systems. I understand where you're coming from though.
u also have to have social skills to get a good job.. i have a classmate who doesn't talk to NOONE.. just a loner.. if you go and talk to her she just grunts-.-
