here on youtube, The title of the documentary is ...
"Surigao Treasure"
Apparently the neighboring empires in the region like the Majapahit and Sri Visjaya empire of Indonesia also practiced Hindu-Buddhism and Animism before Islam was introduced to the region
IT CAN suggest that these countrys (Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, Brunei, etc.) did shared a flow of knowledge, people, art, products.
as borders did not exist and were only imposed after the western invaders arrived & colonized Asia
If you can understand Tagalog. kindly watch the documentary about the recent archeological artifacts found here in the Philippines, the archeologist found evidence that the people of the Philippines somehow practiced hindu-buddhis and animism... the archeologists found a gold kinari idol (hindu idol), which proves this. according to the scientists this artifacts are unique here in the Philippines, in terms of design, suggesting that the ancestors of the Filipinos made it themselves.
@iceboy219 hahaha ur so pathetic! yeh boy! using one of the defense mechanism hahahahaha why dont you send ur self voluntarily to elementary to learn what moron really stands for hahahaha it spells ur name idiot! ouch.... youve got to be kidding me! ..... potang ina mo!
@iceboy219 What Vhortex said is true, Malaysians, Indonesians and Filipinos are related, sharing a common ancestry, and even history (Pre-Colonial history).
I suggest you read a history book (specially pre-colonial history of these people) or even a book on archeology about it.
They are all members of the Malay race, we Filipinos are also Malay stock, just like people of Indonesia, Malaysia, Brunei, etc.
@banyohazard69 Yep. I totally agree. I never insisted that we weren't related; i argued that contrary. However, that idiot Vhortex thought the accent from the ad above to be comical and "bisaya", being condescending. I speak Bisaya and I take offense of his rhetoric; I don't consider my dialect as anything better or less than Tagalog but asswipes like Vhortex must be conscientious when writing satirical shit like "that sounds so bisaya, hahaha". Linguicism is discrimination.
@banyohazard69 I understand your call to unity but I am expressing how I feel and no one has the authority to tell me what I should and should not consider offensive. Maybe we both grew up in different settings, because where I am from, I had to be resilient and latch on to my language. As a 7 year old Filipino kid who had to speak English and assimilate to American culture, my Filipino language and customs became even more valuable.
i also recognize some of the words but don't know what they mean. i speak cebuano and we don't use those words used in the commercial but some of our neighbor islands do use them.
ha, i don't know. It just sounds like that to me. It sounds Asian, but at the same time is fast and clicky and has some spice to it like some kind of Latin-based language. It's an awesome language. Wish i could speak it; i only know Chinese, some Japanese, and a little bit Korean.
Hahaha! I see. Well, Indonesian have many loanwords from Arabic, Spanish, Portuguese, English, Sanskrit, Hokkien (a dialect of Chinese). Dutch is by the far the most influential as they ruled our country for 350 years. ;)
filipino language and indonesian(also malaysia) have some similar words i think because of etymologies etc... so some words would really sound like such
well tagalog is pretty much made of different influences...such as mandarin..spanish...and malay and indonesian language has malay roots for their language...i guess it goes on with the histories of each language
you are half filipino, but you still have a good ear! you are correct, you are hearing some familiar words. my indonesian friend and i were talking one day, and accidentally, we found out a few words are the same between Indonesia and Filipino and means the same thing.
haha so funny.. Annisa Almaqhvira is one of my colleagues here in Japan. At first I thought Pantene just gathered cute girls and named them Annisa A, B, C...

We are all on the same boat, we are ONE people, therefore we should help each other, build up each other, instead of tearing each other down.

Indonesian, Malaysian and Filipinos have a common ancestor. That was the reason why there are words that seems similar.
If you happen to be in Visayas region, this Indonesian words will be actually used on some areas.
