Where I live the restaurants have already committed thei oil to a particular company. Can you use something else that would be cost effective at home?
richerbythesecond Your best option now is converting your gasoline engine to Propane, it is way cheaper, way cleaner and just as powerful as gasoline. One you convert you can't even tell the difference from your gasoline and best of all you can have both fuels in the same vehicle and switch by pressing a button from one fuel to the other in case you run out of propane and you can't get to a filling station.
Does anyone know how to make biogasoline? I have a car that burns gas and I don't think it will run on biodiesel. Also, can you convert biodiesel to biogasoline?
both as he said its like 50 cents a gallon, but you have to keep it secret because you can be taxed 18 cents a gallon by the government i think that is gay though just saw it on the news
How much would it cost if I didn't have time to go around to restaurants sucking up used grease like 90% of people who work 40 to 60 hours a week? Is there a source for cheap used oil? I wouldn't mind setting up a two or three hundred gallon tank to house bulk used oil. That would make DIY biofuel a reality for many more people.
Depends what you can buy it for,it veries. It's not a big deal to pick up a restruants and it's still free. All you have to do is make the arrangements.

I have heard of ways of using water to help with regular gasoline engines. I am not too sure if it is real or not but I have heard of it.

is there any way to make bioFUEL as in regular gas?? and no bioDIESEL?
BRAINLES2PIGEON 3 years ago
after doing all this stuff to make your own biodiesel, are you really saving significant money? Or is this more for environmental reasons?

would i need to modihy my engine to run bio fuel?
123barnsley123 3 years ago
a diesel motor needs absolutely no mods to run biodiesel.,
Biodiesel can also be mixed with petro diesel at any ratio.

biodiesel has the same octane level that petrol diesel has, there is no preformance difference in biodiesel.

does one need to convert the engine to feed it biofuel? Or just straight up?
im2girly4you 3 years ago
no conversion nessisary, just watch out because the rubber fuel lines degrade due to biodiesel being an excellent solvent
benzlover55 3 years ago
no, but you could buy a fuel filter on ebay for abou $45 or £25.
just to make sure that its clean when it enters the engine.
i hope my info helps.
