Whats the point of this run? Also why is it 40 MINUTES??

The Point is, to show Players, how long it tooks, back in the old Days, to get from one big City to another, w/o any type of Porters, Books. Players today missing the Facts, that Exploration and Traveling is a Part of Roleplaying.

And why takes it 40 Minutes? Well, cause it take 40 Minutes, to Walk from F to Q.

This is the most important run in the main land.

Just a sere will of someone being able to do this made him a guide. Which in the game was a badge of honor that carried throughout the game.
