  • @ BeauLeeman, the other example of the original being the best is 'Little Darlin' (no 'g').

The first hit on youtube is 'Little Darlin' - The Diamonds - 1957'

Perfect arrangement, timing, and perfect backup vocals and accompanyment.

First time I heard it on the radio, I ran to the phone to call the radio station, but couldn't get thu to the disk jockey.

Went out later to buy the recording, one of the best 2 1/2 minute tunes ever!

But later live performances don't even come close.

  • That's the original rendition. Like so many others, the original was the best. Seen JL in concert here and there, and he's a great performer, altho he doesn't do dance steps like Jackie Wilson, at least he sings live, rather than lip sync. Check out "lonely teardrops" to see what I mean.

But again, the original is best!

    One more example:

  • what's the year of the record or song.....it's the 1 im looking for, all other times he sang that song just don't cut it.

  • What is the name of this record player? :-)

  • @TheSnow77 happy tunes

  • Ahh my parents used to have one o' these when I was little. Good ol' toddler days, lol.

  • To all you kids out there..... that is what is called a "45". Being played on a Monotone (not Stereo) record player. That's all we had to listen to music with, back in the olden days.

  • @aspenrebel some of us may be young but we still know what the heck it is ^_^

  • that looks valuble, like a collectable, like somthing american pickers would buy

  • very great one of a kind

  • How exactly is it you got a hold of this record? This is some of the best music of all time right here. LONG LIVE THE KILLER!!!

  • thank you for adding all of these tunes. i'm 24 but i still love these songs and am fascinated by the era.

  • i have a dejay record player like that, but a superheroes type.

  • That's actually a fairly decent record. The player itself sounds kinda funky, but the record still has some life left in it.
