Quite honestly, the video disappoints me a little. I always thought this was a song about a woman finally breaking after years of domestic abuse. That it's about adultery is just underwhelming.
This is still far and away their best song, though, and one that still touches me 20-some-odd years later.

That's a damn shame. Hopefully they will change their minds. At least Tom & Joe should reunite but it won't be the same without Alannah. Wow. It is so great to see all the positive comments about this song, and this band. They defined a large part of the 80's. Terrific stuff, up there with Tears For Fears, ABC, OMD, and Haircut 100.

I love how things come around. For 20 years the 80's have been the decade of crap music. Now comments are slowly coming around and saying its the best. Ha! The hair and make-up are indicitive of the awkwardness of learning to harness the new cushy studio technology. When to work it, and when to let it do the work.
