pole-arms are better than spears because

1. they mob like a bitch

2. Slashing comes more often than poking, so most of the time pole-arms will do more dmg

3. pole-arm=max crusher

4. they are generally cheaper than most spears

That actually depends on your fund. Im lvl 60 and I have 30 base dex and have no problems hitting things. Not to forget, Maple weapons add additional accuracy if needed. But yeah... normal dex build is between 70-80.

Shes Normal I believe. And spear vs. pole arm is a battle that will never end. Spear is better DPM and good at bossing(single enemies) But Pole arm is better for mobs(training). In other words, spear usually boss more often but Pole armers are faster at training for the most part.(cough cough Himes)

I capped my 101 DKs dex @ 75 and wore a 100%'d blue chainmail, should get you about 85-90 depending on other equips. And that is PLENTY dex. Enough, but not too much.

Neither are better. I don't really like pure spear/pure pole-arm. If your planning on making a DK you should go hybrid. My friend (MyOwnKing, Mardia) is a lvl 116 DK and hes pure spear but he wishes he would have gone hybrid. Personally I think hybrids better

heres my problem with deciding between spear or polearm. both are pretty good for mobing and spear and good for mobing and one on one, but think about this, wat r u gonna do when ur facing a single monster or boss, sacrifice? ya ull die if u dont have a preist with u, spear dk dont have to worry about one on one, or mobbing xp

You still get crusher, also if your bossing and dont have a priest your just stupid. PAs get the same attacks they just focus mainly on Buster because the damage is better and its a great mobbing skill, PAs crusher is still strong just not AS strong as a spear DK, by the time you go to pap/pianus/zak you'll normally be 95+ so a PA will have a decent level crusher.

I recall seeing a Video where Tiger was like level 140 and only did 15k per crusher hit. Simple fact of the matter is that more kills means more experience, hence why many people max Fury first and leave Crusher as more of an Afterthought.

Personally I'm a pure spear :O, not yet a sexy Dragon Knight, but will be in 9 levels. In case any other spear DKs are reading, I have a question. Should I max Dragon Fury also? Since we have those NLC 12 attk. pots, I've been hearing people saying that Dragon's Blood is useless. I'm a high dex spearman :O (100 dex) so I'm just wondering.
