  • easy to write off amateur work immediately. this is surprisingly good though. a little work on narration and itd be next to perfect. music is exquisitely appropriate.

  • Yea he didn't hate black people because of their stupidity. That would be too far fetched. Before you answer with some ignorant bullshit reply (where you believe you have the moral high ground *ask yourself this: is political correctness more moral than being honest?*), check out some articles on race comparisons from universities and so on.

  • Stop the polemics with Lovecraft's racism. It was the mores of his times. (sorry for my bad english)

  • AMAZING VIDEO!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Superb.

  • the background music is too loud, I can't focus on the narrators voice...

  • Love the attention to details, the concept and the overall result. It's easy to be critical sitting at a keyboard, but I do think that this could be vastly improved by another narrator. A professional actor who could add more imagery and nuance to the text. A new mix with the sound FX and music perhaps not quite so hot over the narration. It was often hard to understand, but then with a stronger narrator and better enunciation, the new sound mix might be a moot point.

  • Quite enjoyable. I was particularly intrigued by the fact that the letter from the friend was signed 'Harley Warren.'

  • Dan Harrod actually showed me this a few years back, I've always thought it was awesome.

  • That is awesome, not enough to describe it.

  • Main character and aspects of the story share a lot of similarities to Drood, by Dan Simmons which is an EXCELLENT book, btw

  • I just love the narrator! he's perfect for this.

  • Have you tried the superb books by Robert M Price: 'The new lovecraft circle' & Ramsay Campbell, "Tales of the lovecraft mythos" & "Ashes & others H.P. lovecraft & divers hands". Another excellent book by R. M. Price is, ' The reason driven life '

  • Watch the Twilight zone episode: Gramma. It's about Cthulu worship.

  • good job

  • Would like to see a major studio do the justice a Lovecraft story deserves. Haven't seen one yet. No offense to this video.

  • @daven58100 if only Guillermo del Toro would finally freakin' do "At the Mountains of Madness"!

  • @Econniff Great choice!

  • Very nice

  • This was beautifully done. A wonderful, retro-feel of one of my favorite Lovecraft stories. Magnificent.

  • Look at your world, now back to me, now back at your world, now back to me.

Sadly, all that you know and love is soon to be no more.

Look down, back up, where are you? You're attending a lecture by the malign, shape-shifting deity your god could smell like.

What's in your hand? I have it. It's two tickets to some event your pathetic species enjoys. Look again! The tickets are now Azathoth!

Anything's possible when you're the soul and messenger of the Outer Gods. I'm on a penny-farthing bicycle.

  • @DeliciousBubbleTea It's funny because Lovecraft was bigoted against black people.

  • @glun Lovecraft, and the entire Western world, was bigoted against everyone at this point in history.

  • @glun he hated the black people of brooklyn, the immigrant quarter he was at. he showed far more white people being vicious and evil then non-whites. he owned a cat named "nigger man" since the word "nigger" was acceptable in 1910-1920 and the word "negro" began to be use 1950-1960

    he died 1937

he loved his cat dearly. he hated black people that didnt intergrate and others who didnt. he MARRIED a jew which he loved because she integrated. he thought how cruel germany was of their treatment-

  • @kissemurra12

Nah he "hated" all of immigrants regardless of race because he was afraid of them.

He also didnt like himself because he believed he was ugly.

He based innsmouth people upon himself being deformed and xenophobic thats what happens when you are raised by over over protective mother.

  • @1DarkMasK1 - uh these are actually based on old legends from around the entire world. many of which come from black people and people 'of colour'.

  • treatment of jews in germany, while others thought it was ok. and that was a time during racism was very high around the world.

  • @glun you would've been too if you were around at that time...and possibly not black.

  • @glun

Thats not accurate he was bigoted against all strangers no matter thier race he even hated himself he wasnt like black people are inferior and whites are superior and later on when he gain more confidence he became more open minded.

Bare in mind he was also anti-semetic but then he married a a jewish girl.

  • @DeliciousBubbleTea FOR THE WIN!!! WIN! WIN! WIN! (I cant stop) WIN!

  • @DeliciousBubbleTea The irony in Nyarlathotep's case is that despite his rank amongst the outer gods, he's stronger than most of them if I remember correctly. I haven't gotten much into the cthulhu mythos that much as of late so I could be wrong on that.

  • This is a 2001 short film by Christian Matzke.

  • This is really good. Did you make this?

  • To Nyarlathotep must all things be told, for he is the messanger between the speheres.

  • Nyarlathotep if probably more intresting than cthulhu. Azothoth is awesome though.

  • This is good. I never quite understood this story fully. Nyarlathotep is an evil shapeshifting god right?

  • Excellent job!!

  • whoah, i 'm a HP Lovecraft's fan, and congatulations, nice short movie! I found the Novella's ambiance!
