Ha! Ever since I heard La Frontera about 2 years ago when I bought Lhasa's album I loved this song, and for some reason it always made me think of Mexico. I always pictured colourful houses and ponchos and sombreros! What a great coincidence!

I love San Miguel de Allende, one of my favorite places to visit in Mexico.

Mexico has a lot of great touristic destinations, each one of then completelly different to the others.

I'd like to share with you a little taste of this beautiful city -almost unknown by the Mexicans themselves- in the State of Veracruz, ORIZABA.

Hi Marianne, I recall in 'Frida', Lila Downs sang two tracks while Chavela Vargas sang another two and appeared in a cameo with her trademark 'trensas' (braids) while singing 'La Llorona.' Lhasa's release of 'La Frontera' in '02 has to be the most beautiful Mexican song of the past ten years...that's why I chose it. Unfortunately Lhasa's musical output since '02 has been very uneven. oye marlon: lo unico que falta es mi casita "chevy van" anaranjada estacionada frenta a la parroquia despues de haber pasado alli la noche y en la mañana la pasajera "guera" recorriendo rapidamente de fila en fila adentro de la iglesia tratando de alcanzar a la doberman "la flaca sunshine" que estaba asistiendo su primera misa en mexico. y los fieles -- como si nada. ¡pero eso fue en el 1973 -- parece que ya no se permite el estacionamiento ni de dia! felicidades.
