So you have only a locker in front, but open diff in rear? Looks like it made a huge difference, but I thought that was bad for the drivetrain to be locked front and open rear? Just what I've heard....hopefully will be locked soon in my TJ as well! Nice vid.
I loved that setup..! I would think it's easier for the front to be locked since the gears are 1 more tooth higher in ALL 4wd's. So if the front was pulling more.. it's less work on the rear. If I had traction.. I could drive the front end up a tree with the locker.
Hmmm, I know a lot of people that stall while wheeling. Most of the rock crawling events we goto it is common place. I drive an 85 ford with an auto, my daily driver and off road machine so it dosnt stall lol. Anyway I am taking my son there this Sunday for his Bday "He loves going off road" I enjoyed your video, now I want to go even more lol.

Well.. how good can a jeep be when it's able to do 60mph in 2nd gear. That's just wrong. Maybe ONLY for the street, but if you ever once go offroad with it.. and get SERIOUS.. not just driving down a gravel road. Yuck.. I was able to go through the RUBICON trail with my 3.07's though. The other jeep that was with me had 4.56's an open diffs. I was able to climb up and over things he couldn't, but I was stalling out often where he wasn't.
It's GREAT on the road. When turning tight on the asphalt, I hear a little clicking noise, but doesn't lock up and push the front.. and easy to install.
That's an ASSININE comment to make, which reflects your age.. Saved what money..? The locker? It was a cheap but great investment. The gears were 3.07's, without slipping the clutch.. it's bound to stall out. Know what your talking about before commenting.
I love it. It locks up and just simply works. I hear a little ratcheting noise when on the asphalt.. but I love it too. It reminds me that it's there.. but won't lock up unless there's power to the front diff.. Easy to install too.
Sounds good. It's a great investment. Wasn't fun when my spider gears in the rear blew up.. had to drive in 4wd\front wheel drive with a mechanical locker. Almost rubbed a guardrail on the highway getting it to a towable area to save extra offroad charges.

I would have saved the money and paid someone to show you how to drive a stick.
