Mine has worked great, what killed mine? flying from maryland to germany. what broke? the port in the back for the cable to the laptop. its just rattling around inside, thats it. its a great hard drive.

ive had my mini maxtor one touch for almost 2 years and still works like brand new... but i don't use it everyday

stay away from this hard drive. yea i know 5 yr warranty but aren't they losing money i mean i got 2 of those and one of them broke down after 7 months the other after 11 months.

My Maxtor got an error last night and i dont know how to fix it every thing is on there and when i plug it in to my laptop it loads and every this seem like its ok then every thing freezes i go in to folders on it and everthing is gone!

i have to unplug it from my laptop and wall and plug it back in to be able to see all my stuff for 2minutes to watch this happen again dont buy Maxtor thay dont work very long i had mine for seven months

Well this made me feel geeky when you said you were like a kid on christmas, Last christmas, me and my sisters got a wii between us for our present, I made my younger sisters wait while i did n unboxing of it for youtube. I look back on that morning with font memories, Will bowling is awesome, especially for the first time! :P Nice unboxing, I wonder how long it will be before "unboxing" becomes an actual word. I am in the market for a new hd, so this video has been helpful!

I have a OneTouch similar to that, except that it's a 2.5" 160GB drive.

Yeah, I don't like Western Digital. All WD hard drives I've owned have broken within a few months. My sixth WD hard drive that came with my hard disk recorder broke a few days ago after less than a year of use.

I take it it's 2 x 500GB in RAID 0 judging by the size of that beast. Still looks sleek though, nice unboxing.
