I remember that the teachers never really said that the two poets were lovers. They used to say things like "they're were great friends". or "they're suspected from practicing homosexuality". I'm glad this movie exists. It's really good.

so, to be honest:when we studied romanticism in my class last year,me and a friend joked about "romanticism is emo" and mostly that Goethe (who wrote "The Young Werther's Sorrows" or something)was the very first emo in history, because Werther kills himself in the end.that book had so much success in that times that a lot of young people indentifyed themselves with Werther and killed themeselves. But Wolfgang Goethe himself doesn't strike me as an emo guy, while Rimbaud... Well, as I said before he's more of a decadent, which can be better related to Gothics.

Yea... I get that sometimes vidding is sometimes a chore.  The more complicated the tricks and effects, the more frustrated I become. But I'm really glad that you got relax a bit with this. It just turned out so beautifully. I wasn't always able to tell what was maniped, and what was actually part of the movie.

just so maybe you're less confused, you know when the old man is in the bar and then the clip became suddenly bright? that's because in that moment starts his imagination. rimbaud died young, verlaine keeps remembering him but he remembers just the sweet things: in fact in the end, in his imaginations, rimbaud kisses verlaine's hand, instead of stabbing it, like he actually did when he was alive.
