  • Could I suggest you change your tags on the movie so that if you search it it you could find it? Its currently only the video files name.

I agree 1 million % with you about the Hall but i prefer the Collett tender to the Hawksworth as the Hawksworth looks a bit to smaller to the ones used on the LNER and LMS the Collett stands out a bit more. Plus Hawksworth were fitted to my fav loocs after the glory pre war days

  • amazing video!!

the locos look so graceful !!

i am impressed with your knowlage of your locos and loving all ure videos!!

    well done!!

  • @poisonarrowfrog100 Much appreciated for the positive posting-I've only a limited amount of knowledge & only been into the hobby for the last four years.I'm really a BR Corporate Blue era fan(1970s is the timeline),so there's a provision for steam in the form of a preservation/heritage line to be running on the outside in the future.

Hope to get a better camera sometime & am also planning on adding another NRM loco to use on railtours in Feb or March.

  • Great video!!

Plus it's one of my fav locos. The county class is a great loco I renamed mine county of hants and got it weathered and it looks stunning

About the coal load in the tender I think that's a clever touch by Hornby as the real locos were heavy coal eatters so it was extremely rare you would see them with a full load.

Once again great review well done

  • @liverkewell07 It's good to have a fairly empty bunker,as coal can always be added.I gather some A4s have a removable coal load too.I happen to find a lot of Western tenders very attractive(no wonder Stanier worked wonders with the LMS after he left the GWR).I love the front profiles off the Castles/Kings with the "curling" pipes at the front end of their boilers.Hope to god Bachmann will treat us to a DCC-chassised modified Hall Class with the Hawksworth tender, cos I'd love a 6998 Burton Agnes!
