  • If I was a Christian I'd never marry because then I wouldn't be allowed to use my head (because 'husband is the head of the wife'). Glad I'm not a Christian! (lol)

  • check out 1 Cor Ch 7 !!!!!!!!!!

  • nah i want the whole package lol, i wouldn't call it a gift! or a curse.. its a 'calling' kind of like grace and faith

  • lol, for what was in fact a pretty awesome video....there are some pretty "dead" comments on here...

  • Even churches that talk about the gift of singleness don't believe it in practice. Most center all of their programming around marriage and the family. Hardly any church has an unmarried senior pastor.

  • You're right - none of them are single so they are really in no place to put a glorified smiley-face on singleness. There's no such thing as "the gift of singleness" anyways. The Living Bible people made that up, and have since taken it out of the newer NLT versions.

  • Con't: Singleness is not a gift, but rather a choice for those who can easily control their sexual natures, for the sake of doing kingdom work. Those people should be respected for their unique role in the body of Christ and not pressured to marry. However, most people don't have that gift. Rather than make them feel guilty, churches should help the rest of the singles find godly mates.

  • To be honest, it's easy for people who can enjoy sexual intimacy and raising children with their mates to lecture to singles that their state is a gift. The gift is not singleness per se, but lack of desire for sex and family life. My lack of a husband actually limits my service opportunities. I can't adopt a child, for example. I must work 40+ hours a week, when I'd rather be volunteering.

  • @TFarache I agree, singleness is a curse and not what God has in mind, and its so easy when youre enjoying the pleasures of sex and in a great marriage to lecture on the "gift" cough, cough, of singleness

  • @feministdestroyer Singleness isn't a curse.

Pray to God for His grace to enjoy ur singleness & serve Him with all you have.

I am single, I am not cursed.

    1 Corinthians 7:7-

I wish everyone were single, as I am. Yet each person has a special gift from God, of one kind or another. So I say to those who aren't married and to widows; it's better to stay unmarried, just as I am. But if they can't control themselves, they should marry. It's better to marry than to burn with lust.

    Neither is a curse.

  • @Galatians112 You can take your "gift" of singleness and shove it, as far as i am concerned its a curse worse than death.....to be surrounded by sexy gorgeous women, hearing their moans and cries of pleasure as they enjoy the ecstacy of sex and knowing its something you will NEVER be able to enjoy because of your circumstances is a cruel torturous fate worse than death...i wouldnt wish singleness on my worse enemy, next time provide more verses like Titus 2:4 which refutes your position

  • @feministdestroyer lol

Okay... take it easy, no need to get all irritated now.

What do you mean that you will NEVER be able to enjoy?

Take whatever care you have to the cross.

Singleness is not a curse... if you consider yours to be, well, it's your call, you shall have whatever you say.

    Grace bro.

  • @Galatians112 The feminist movement has destroyed women and made them avoid and hate sex, so if you are single, and are not a billionaire with lots of status and power women wont even look at you then you can kiss your chances goodbye at ever being able to have sex....sex in the west is only for the extremely wealthy few and the very very lucky, and sex is rarer than water on the suns surface, even in so called christian marriages women refuse to have sex with their husbands

  • @feministdestroyer

Ugly women exist for poor men and vice versa.

  • @feministdestroyer You say singleness is a curse eh? Yes it is better to be dead than to suffer loneliness when you don't want to be single by choice, but then again you said that you're surrounded by gorgeous women? i'm sure it would be alot easier for you to select a marriage mate if there are plenty of single females around your location, unless you're too broke to afford a marrige ceremony? if that's the case then why don't you stop hanging around those kind of women who's conduct is loose?
