I try to sing any DT song and almost cough up blood.

I don't know why but my throat gets really irritated and hurts.

I guess you have the wrong technique. But its hard to describe on the internet...

Dont try to force more hardness of your voice with your throat. It comes from your stomach. Metalsinging ccan be very hard, thats why most singers are stained with sweat during concerts :D
