Gonz started Blind with Jason Lee as the founding team members. D. Way left H Street a few months later and joined them. This footage was not long after this.

As for Video Days, most of that footage was filmed in 91'. By that time Way had left Blind so naturally he was never going to be a part of the video.

Danny Way was a pro for Blind and even had a board (the famous "O.C. Razor" featuring Danny, Jason Jesse, Jason Lee and a tricked-out low-rider truck drawn by Sean Cliver). As Spike Jonze was editing Video Days, Danny quit Blind and went back to H-Street, so his part was, in effect, dropped from the video. During his stint with Blind, however, Way was able to get his friend Jordan Richter on the squad, and this is how Blind got its "vert guy."

I've seen deleted Video Days footage, too. You're right: Danny Way is absent for most of it. This video was edited on the fly, and it is possible Way's footage was recorded over. He was, however, on the team when Spike and Co. started shooting, as proven by this footage here. His departing Blind so soon after joining could have had something to do with Way's missing footage.

Danny was such a good skater back in the day, I don't know if he just feels intimidated here or what!?

This has got to be one of the best things I've seen. Some of it was used in the Blind video "Video Days" back in '91. But I've never seen anymore of those sessions till now...awesome! Danny Way was still kind of the new sensation on the block when this was filmed and now he's a veteran - crazy! Gonz was already a legend at that time. Who would have thought Jason Lee would become a freakin' movie star?

It doesn't get any better than this for me. Great skating and great personalities to go with it. Heck, I was even still skating then.
