Phil's playthrough's are beyond easy. He doesn't even edit the footage (such as Two Best Friends Play, which is awesome by the way) he just hits record on his camera, stops at around the 15 minute mark so that creates a separate file. Once memory card is full, hook up camera to PC, pick files, upload, wait.

@FuturePants Phil does not use a webcam. He uses a high definition camera to record his gameplay. Which happens to cost much more than the highest grade capture card the Happauge HD PVR. The benefit of this is it allows him to upload files straight off the memory card rather than having to record, render and upload. Rendering can take several hours, especially when you upload as much footage as DSP. Also, he does edit his Hateful Truth videos. So your argument doesn't really make sense..

Phil's playthrough's are beyond easy. He doesn't even edit the footage (such as Two Best Friends Play, which is awesome by the way) he just hits record on his camera, stops at around the 15 minute mark so that creates a separate file. Once memory card is full, hook up camera to PC, pick files, upload, wait.

@FuturePants Phil does not use a webcam. He uses a high definition camera to record his gameplay. Which happens to cost much more than the highest grade capture card the Happauge HD PVR. The benefit of this is it allows him to upload files straight off the memory card rather than having to record, render and upload. Rendering can take several hours, especially when you upload as much footage as DSP. Also, he does edit his Hateful Truth videos. So your argument doesn't really make sense..

"Hard" is not the correct word to use for this situation. But stressful, boring, tedious, and repetitive would fit. His job is "easy" in a sense because it only requires skillful rhetoric but only if you have the patience and desire to do it. He is not saying that playing video games is hard; he is saying that the entire process that is required for him to get paid is difficult to deal with. Your title is incorrect and misinterpreted, especially since we know the question Phil is answering.
