Acer Aspire One 6 Cell vs. 3 Cell Battery

I wish I could find a video on how I can buy a after market 6 cell battery on the acer aspire one d255. I have the one with the 3 cell battery. It eats the battery pretty quickly and I was wondering if it would be inexpensive to replace it with a 6 cell battery.

What is the capacity (mAh rating) of that 6-cell battery? There are 4400mAh and 5200mAh versions in existence AFAIK.

Hey, I have a question regarding to the operating system. I've heard of Window 7 and I was wondering if it's really the fastest operating system for a net book. Also, How big is a 6-cell compared to 9-cell battery?

no, windows 7 is faster then vista only if u have a good graphics card, and netbooks usually dont have one at all. Stick with XP or 2000 SP4.

i have the 9 cell and it doesnt add to much weight but it is really really nice :) 8 hours of continues use

i just bought the 6 cell and i still have my 3 cell and i use both batteries. Its awesome cause i have like 10 hours of battery life between the two!!

I know the 3 cell comes with a sleeve case. Does the 6 cell come with a similar case? If so, does the battery stick out a lot in the case? Thanks!

Nope, there's no sleeve. And the battery does stick out and that's the only thing I really hate about this laptop but its worth the extra time. And besides, I doubt your gonna be just looking at the battery for more than 3 minutes. lol.

Actually, now the 6 cell versions come with an updated case that actually covers everything. You can use the standard case, if you already have one with the 6 cell, the battery will just stick out a bit, not bad at all. If you did buy an earlier 6 cell version, you can send your case back to Acer and they will send you the proper case.
