That's an interesting point, but as you are aware, this law is almost the same as the federal law on illegal immigration, so what's the difference does it make if we just enforce it via the police. Who don't pull people over due to their race. They just inquire about their status once pulled over for speeding ect. or suspicion about criminal activity such as hustling drugs.

When a cop premptively asks to see someone's papers he/she has no idea what that persons citizenship status is. The law assumes innocence in the America I know. If one citizen is asked for proof of citizenship without a warrant then the constitution has been violated. This law is unconstitutional period.

You are a enemy of the state invading the country. If one citizen is asked for proof of citizenship without a warrant then the constitution has been violated. This law is unconstitutional period.

I am sorry TimmyD but all pro-illegal immigrant supporters have absolutely no valid argument. I am interested how you would solve this problem the country faces? As stated before the fourth amendment of the constitution is not applicable in this instance considering the fact that illegal immigrants have no protection under our law. It is an easy thing to check public records to verify citizenship status, and you don't even need to be an officer of the law to do it. So why even ask?

But you can see they are changing this law even as we speak so they arent dragged into court as I predicted. If the federal government doesn't take action then its up to the states to do it themselves. we cannot wait around for legislators in washington to decide to take action. yes, it is still racial profiling, but the positives out weigh the negatives, at least until a better plan is brought forward.
