I have this problem and I've been looking for a solution!
ps, i like that center concel that you have on your G, i have a 03 and would like to modify mines to somewhat how you have yours.
I'm having the same problem except that i can actually toggle the lock switch in the door and either open or close from it. have you come up with a fix for this?
