When i was 6 months pregnant i had a grown cat & he would not let anyone near me at all what so ever! He would hiss at my husband & jump in front of him when he came near me or anyone for that mater.
When I was a baby, my mum and dad had a male cat,smirre, and he was guarding me from visitors. LIke, was sitting at the end of my ..uh..feet and was hissing at them when they wanted to poke me. Sadly, he died not so long after , so I didnt have time to know him for real:(
most cats come looking and running when a crying sound is made, i do that to other cats.. and they come right away and look and check out whats going on, specially female cats.
@jaychins no actually hes not...there was a story on the news about a baby dying because the cat was jealous...he layed ontop of the babies face while he was sleeping and the baby suffacated to death...the owners said they felt horrible because they had saw signs that the cat disliked the baby....so no...hes not wrong its actucally true...everything you see on youtube isnt true or accurate
Cats have something motherly, just like girls have that since childhood you can see them loving dolls

I have heard of cats harming tiny babies because they are jealous. I hope you keep the cat away when you are not with the baby.

u r totally wrong.... only dogs are human enough to have jealousy, and search baby+kittens on youtube, you will see cats LOVES babies.
